Perfect for Forscan and elm config.
Five stars. Connected to my car and used it to activate cruise control. No drop outs, it was solid.

Easy to use and works on a range of laptops and tablets
I bought this tool to carry out some adjustments to my Ford Focus TDCI 2 litre and clear some DTC codes.I installed the downloadable software shown in the advert and installed it on a Windows 10 tablet and it worked flawlessly after connecting the device to the tablet and installing the device driver.Using the software is relatively simple but for novice users I would recommend doing some online research before making any adjustments, other than basic ones. The software identifies any problems and offers suggestions on why the DTC codes exist and how to resolve them. The device can scan all modules of the Focus by using a switch on the side of the device. The software steers you through this process to enable a full sweep of all ECU controller systems. For the money this is a valuable and easy to use tool which is essential in maintaining your Ford Focus. It has features such as forcing a regeneration of the DPF for cars used in mainly short trips and other useful features.Overall a simple to use device, which represents good value and essential for car maintenance.

Money saver
After spending over £300 to get a fault diagnosed and repaired on my car, and the fault still being there, I decided to purchase the forscan obd reader to find out if I could diagnose the problem myself. Problem found and resolved within a couple of days.Probably not the most intuitive piece of kit I've ever come across, but plenty of help and advice online. I would definitely recommend it as main dealers charge over £100 just to run a scan on a vehicle. If you only used it once, it will have more than paid for itself, and you will also know if you take your car to a garage whether they are trying to get extra work/money by replacing parts that don't need it.

Works well.
Used with Forscan running on Windows 10 to diagnose an issue with ABS on a Kuga.No issues encountered in downloading/installing the USB/Comm port driver from their Web site.It identified a rear wheel speed sensor as being the issue. Once the Sensor was replaced, I was easily about to reset the DTC to clear the fault.Note, that while the device worked well, Forscan reported that this OBD device is not a recommend one. I expect they say that about all 3rd party devices.

Forscan is just what you need to enable hidden features.
If you have a Ford car and want to see whats going on behind the scenes of your car then this is for you.As an example I enabled the door locking when i reach 10 MPH, having pulled up in a town centre and someone getting into my car thinking I'm an Uber, That was the first thing i enabled as I don't always lock my car when i drive off..Next thing is auto high beam and speed signs.Basically, if you have a feature on your car and it's not enabled, this will let you enable it with a box tick and a reboot of Sync 3.The dongle has MS,HS feature so perfect for Forscan.

Works a treat - highly recommended.
Used this with the Forscan program to sort various issues with my Ford Focus - including DPF static regeneration and fuel additive refill and purge service operations. This has the HS / MS CAN switch, enabling you to access other modules.Worked first time, very reliable, no issues whatsoever.Don't waste your time with the cheap (less than £10) ELM 327 clones on eBay - I've tried several, and they don't work. Spend a little more and buy this item instead. The only improvement I could suggest, is that would be better if they used the FTDI USB-to-Serial chip instead of the Prolific CH340. (The CH340 is fine, but FTDI is better as you don't usually need to install a driver.)

Does the job
Bought this to use with Forscan. There's a lot of rubbish out there, but this worked perfectly straight from the box. Just follow the guides elsewhere to make sure that you're up to date and that your PC recognises it, then you're good to go.

Wouldn't connect to the car - 2016 Ford Focus
Thought it would be as simple as following their instructions, however, wouldn't connect to my car, even after re-installing the program, trying 2 different laptops, and trying all the different drivers recommended off the Forscan forums. After almost an hour of being sat in my car, I've given up as I'm almost sure there is no way of getting it to work. Shame as I was looking forward to using this for several reasons but have been hesitant about buying it for some time.
