Kuckoo - Try harder.
This was a novel idea for Christmas crackers and the snakes will probably be played with over the Christmas period BUT I also bought Kuckoo Crackers Race to Santa's Grotto for use at the same time and it was so disappointing that all the jokes were the same ! Come on, Kuckoo, surely you can do better than that. I felt short-changed,

Worth every penny and a lot of us are still playing with our magic snakes
I bought 2 boxes of these crackers for a family gathering on Boxing Day. Every cracker pulled easily and with a satisfyingly loud snap, the hats were wearable and the jokes were silly. In other words, just what you want from a good cracker and there was much loud laughter while they were pulled, the hats put on and the jokes shared. But I bought these crackers for their main content and that's where it became clear they were worth every penny of the cost. Suddenly, silence fell as everyone - aged from 5 to (cough) over 60 - started to manipulate the magic snakes into something resembling the shapes shown on the enclosed leaflets. There was even some cheating, in the form of Googling for Youtube instructional videos. I refused to plumb such depths so all I managed to produce was a straight snake, and very proud of myself i was too. The chief cheat made a ball and a non-cheat sat a dog on the table. There was also a key and a bird, together with several original Guess What This Is figures. We're a boisterous bunch when we all get together and the noisiness resumed when we compared our magic snake results, but I don't remember the last time - if ever - that we all became quiet at once on Boxing Day. The consensus was that these crackers were worth every penny and the genuine children (the 5 and 7 year olds) asked if we can have something like them for next year. The other children - the ones in their 20s, 30s and cough - all supported the request.I'm not sure I'll be able to find something as good but I'll definitely be back later in 2018 to see what Kuckoo Krackers has on sale!

I bought these for a change, because I found that over the past few years the quality of the gifts inside most Christmas crackers had become really poor, with most of them ending up in the bin immediately after Christmas dinner. These crackers however were a great success and kept the children (and their parents) busy for a long time, trying to make a dog, a key or other shape with the 'snakes'. Quite solid too, as the snakes were still being played with several days after Christmas. Thoroughly recommended!

Much better than the usual awful random gifts that nobody really wants.
These are much better than the standard crackers with stupid gifts that nobody really wants. Everybody did play with them at the table and the grandchildren were very happy to take their collection of snakes back home with them. The four year old did snap one before she got the hang of how to twist them but all the others have survived well and were played with a lot over several days.

A Dissapointment.
I am still looking for good crackers. These have the usual poor hats and contents.
