Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father

Incredibly sad.....
This is a perfect example of how law in governments can fail people. It is also a perfect example on how one death can impact many. The family, I was really surprised, had to endure such pain and trauma and still came out of it with a goal was surprising. My condolences to the Bagby family. The law failed you and I hope you guys got some sort of closure. After watching the film, I felt like I knew Andrew, the director did a great job handling that.Thank you for sharing this. This movie WILL leave you in tears and you will wish for justice.

Truly masterful
I think this documentary will sit with me forever. The love shown in this tale of two people's untimely deaths and the way David and Kate are immortalized alongside the lives of their son and grandson is beautiful. I will truly never be the same.

This story shows how awful people are.

Best documentary!
It's a great story about how severely people can suffer, especially children, due to the gaps that are in our legal system.

Best Documentary Ever Created
Truly one of the most heartbreaking yet wonderful pieces of journalism I’ve ever seen. This story rocked my world, and I can’t help but hold awe and respect for the people involved, the film creator/producer work, the beautiful tribute he created to share the injustices but celebrate the love that prevails. I have watched this over 50 times and am still moved to tears by this film. This will have a forever hold on my heart.

One of the Most Heartbreaking Yet Wonderful Documentaries I've Watched
When pressing 'play' on this documentary, I didn't know what to expect. As I watched, I realized that no one expected what was going to happen during the making of this documentary on so many levels. The filmmaker did a beautiful job putting all the pieces together so that you actually feel like you know the main people in the doc. You wind up having your heartbreak like you are part of this family. I'm glad that he continued with the documentary. He honored his friend's memory in such a beautiful way, and when the tides changed during the making of the documentary, he wound up honoring his family as well. My heart is absolutely broken but it's true life. You never know what's going to happen; change is constant. I literally spoke aloud to myself at times because I couldn't believe how some of these things could happen. Tears welled up in my eyes so many times. All around it's a documentary that wound up giving me all kinds of emotions and feelings, it was beautifully done, and I recommend it to anyone. I definitely want to read the book that the parents wrote about their tragedy, and I hope they get their laws passed, so what the evil witch did, might never happen again. I'm being vague in all of this because I don't want to spoil anything. Just watch it! You won't be disappointed whatsoever. It will make you want justice.

Life changing
I watch A LOT of documentaries. It's a slow time at work for me, so just this week I have watched over a dozen. I came across this one by accident and was intrigued by the description as my degree is in Criminal Justice. I laughed, I cried, and now I'm bawling. The entire time I was thinking... surely there has to be a happy ending. Get up now and go hug your loved ones and tell them that you love them. Trust me. After watching this story told by Andrew's family and friends, I will never be the same person I was yesterday. I know of Andrew and Zachary now too and I know their story and I can honestly say... I am a better person for it. Thank you for this. I may be bawling and my heart is broken for this family, but it is worth it. I am forever changed.

One of the Most Important Films You'll Ever See
This is one of the most heartbreaking films I've ever seen. Although I am a self proclaimed movie enthusiast I admittedly don't watch many documentries. I took a chance watching this and it's one the best chance I've ever taken.. maybe not literally but it's a great film never the less.

Thanks
Hammer Geschichte. Mein Englisch ist sehr mäßig, habe den Artikel verschenkt. Er kam pünktlich. Der Beschenkte war zufrieden. Soll auf einer wahren Geschichte beruhen, krasses Ende.

Unbelievable, gripping and devastating
This is the best documentary about a crime I have ever seen. It is told from a very personal point of view. The filmmaker has been best friends with the victim forever and has tons of film material which is edited beautifully. He contrasts this with surviving family and friends who tell their story/how they lived through the whole crime experience/loss. Amazing storytelling, I really recommend this piece. Also very tasteful coverdesign.

You will need tissues.
One of the saddest true crime documentaries you will ever watch. I've yet to witness any of my friends watch this without swelling up with tears.Recommend a big box of tissues with this.
