Drill Extra Holes.
I bought this door seal kit to replace the perished seal on our Cannon Chesterfield oven.I was surprised to see that it came without instructions because a previous reviews had stated the instructions were easy to follow.I emailed the supplier but decided to have a go anyway. It was rather logical and straightforward providing you cut each end at a 45 deg angle otherwise there is a gap where the clips are inserted into the rubber. This is easily achieved with ordinary household scissors. You simply cut 4 pieces to the correct length (cut long and shorten as required) and join them with the clips provided.Applying the black sealant is messy, so I advise wearing nitrile gloves.Unfortunately, after I finished the supplier sent me a pdf of the instructions, which said to drill extra holes. It was too late so we'll see if the way I fitted the seal does the job.Had the instructions been provided at the outset I would have awarded 5 stars.

Waste of money. Doesn't fit an AEG
No instructions with it. Looked online and watched a video ftom espares which said their rubber ones can't be used to replace a non rubber seal.(?) I thought I would give it a go I tried for over an hour. The corner clips just kept falling off. I tried bending the small spike to make it hold but with no luck. Eventually one snapped. Luckily I still had the original seal so put that back on. It may fit other makes and models but not my one. My one has a white material type seal with lots of little thin wire loops. As J have cut the rubber seal I can't return it but I don't think saying it fits all machines should be stated and some instructions would be useful. Other suppliers seem to have youtube vids. Oddly non actually say which way round it should lay. There is a flat side and a pointy side... I hope this helps you decide.

Good for my LaCanche range, BUT
Overall an economic replacement for a broke door seal.*However the rounded corner pieces are pointless as you cannot insert them into a continuous length to create a bend without the rubber breaking. Had to use corner joiners which leave a gap in the seal.*Only two straight end hooks provided, so although there is sufficient seal for two doors there are not enough end connectors to utilise it.Would be great value for money with two more straight end hook.

Works perfectly and easy to fit.
After checking to see if the seal for my oven was available, I was a bit shocked to find it was priced at between £36 and £93. When I found this kit on Amazon I thought I didn’t have much to lose if it didn’t work.So after checking a two minute video on YouTube, I measured the lengths, subtracted the amounts suggested on the video for stretching, fitted the correct four corners and hooked it in the holes on the oven. It took about 10 minutes all in.I don’t know why there are negative reviews for this seal kit, it really couldn’t be any easier to fit other than buying a ready made one. After fitting the seal the oven definitely seems to get hotter quicker and odours don’t escape.I’d recommend to check your seals to make sure they are working properly. My first telltale sign was moisture dripping out of the bottom of the door when the oven was cooking.

Not universal - check the thickness
The advert says full instructions included when it should say "no instructions included." It's fairly self-evident how to fit it but what is not obvious is the length the pieces should be cut to so that they are stretched sufficiently to pull then straight. I found online instructions for a similar product which said to cut the pieces 2cm shorter than the distance between the fixing hole and this worked. It is "universal" in that it can be easily cut to any size but it is much thicker than my original seal so that my oven door now doesn't close properly. I would have checked the thickness but it's not specified in the advert. The seal thickness is approximately 8mm thick and compresses down to 5mm whereas my door seal is 5mm and compresses down to 3mm. As Jim Royale would say, universal my ar*eI don't know why they include a tube of gasket maker as it is not required. I guess it might come in handy if I need to change the head gasket on my car...
