An excellent and well priced card, delivered at speed and well protected in box Nice quality fitting as expected fro past experience with StarTech.com. Adds "firewire" old style ports to newer Windows 10pro desktop pc allowing me to review/edit old DV cassette files.

No hassle Windows 10 Firewire card
Needed to transfer some old Mini DV footage from a Sony Camcorder using a Canopus Analogue/Digital converter but it only has FireWire connection. Installed card in a Spare PCI slot. Rebooted and Windows 10 creators edition recognised it first time. No drivers to install, and transferring video to Adobe Premiere with full camcorder control within 5 minutes. Superb product, great price and first class delivery.

Does not include a retaining Screw
First expansion card added to my PC. Shame the pack did not include a screw. Just ordered another Star Tech card so expect the same. Otherwise would have been five star.

Just works!
Ordered this to import some DV video from an old camcorder. Installed, connected, works - no bother at all. Well worth the price.

TI chip works perfectly with soundcard
I bought this specific card as it has a TI chip on and that is a recommendation for a MOTU 8PRE soundcard. It's been working perfectly for a couple of months and was nice and cheap.

PCI 1394a funziona su Mac OS
Ho comprato la PCI 1394a con 3 porte firewire 400 per un assemblato con OS X 10.11, funziona out of the box senza l'installazione di alcun kext. Consigliata se si vuole spendere poco ma alzando un po il budget è meglio una scheda con porte firewire 800
