I needed towel storage for the landing at top of the stairs. In the end I decided it might be a good idea to buy two cupboards instead of one long one, in case we ever move and don't have such a generous landing next time. Hence, I eventually (after hours of research) decided upon buying two of these. (Thank you to previous reviewers for their accurate evaluation which helped form my decision.) The two flat-packs arrived in super-quick time (despite being shipped from Germany - about 3 working days!) and were very easy to assemble (about 40 minutes, even though I did NOT use an electric screw-driver - however I confess that, despite being a 65 year old granny, I have had prior experience of self-assembly furniture). I was very impressed by the following: * the quality of the painted finish (on every surface, inside and out); * the fact that the large pieces were coded, so recognition was not dependent upon scrutiny of diagrams; * the way the small parts were labelled and packed in small plastic bags; * the precision construction - everything fitted perfectly and, instead of horrid little tacks to fix the back panel on, lovely little screws are supplied which look so much neater when the backs are seen through the bannister rails. In short - I was so thrilled by these delightful cupboards that I have ordered two more! I would recommend them, without hesitation - as long as the buyer checks that the size will fulfil their purpose. They are not very deep (35cms.), but that was an advantage as far as I was concerned.

Nice and easy to assemble.

It was delivered to me 3 days earlier than expected ! On taking the panels out the box there was a slight bit of damage to the fretwork panel but it was on the inside and was not going to be seen. All fixings were present and the bags were labelled. The first panels were easy to assemble once I had photographed and enlarged the pictures from the instruction manual. This made the assembly easier until it came to the hinges. I had to go back to the Amazon page to see the image of the hinges insitu. I had put them on wrong as the manual didn't show clearly and I am a inexperienced flat pack furniture builder but, once corrected the ottoman was finally completed. There are some light scuff marks from the manufacturing process that are slightly visible from where the holes had been pre-drilled. Overall it does look good and appears to be quite sturdy. It's perfect for what I need it to do however, if I had not had an offer of a deal on this I would not have purchased at the full price.

I am extremely pleased with my storage box. It is very sturdy and well made. The lid sits nicely. It was easy to put together. It looks very stylish, particularly the cut-out detail. It is very roomy, holding several sets of bed linen. A good price for such a nice piece of furniture.

It was far better quality than I had expected and easy to put together,took an hour including checking and laying out the items. My only concern is the screws would not fully tighten which concerns me. So we will see but apart from that great quality and value for money.

Very easy to follow instructions, each item has its own identification attached, that corresponds with instructions. Although obvious, this isn’t always the case. Would probably have been easier with two people,I managed it quite well alone . The item is sturdy and a very nice design.

This chest goes together like a typical item of modern flat-pack furniture, but the quality, fit and finish of the components is particularly good. The product is finished in a plastic laminate, but from a distance at least, gives the impression of a more traditional painted wood item. This impression is further enhanced by the decorative fretwork design, the bevelled edges on the lid and base, and the turned feet. From a practical perspective, it's handy that the lid is equipped with a stay that holds it in the open position. The lid also appears to be sufficiently sturdy to sit on. Perhaps for cost-saving reasons, the rear panel comprises a piece of hardboard. I imagine this might distort over time if, for example, the chest were to be used for storing more bulky items, such as blankets or a duvet. Overall, I think this product is good value for money, and provides an attractive alternative to modern furniture designs where a more traditional appearance is desired. I see that a matching cabinet is also available.

Extremely quick dispatch and delivery. Arrived 3 days before expected delivery date. Very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Although construction instructions a little confusing, went together well. All predrilled holes perfectly placed and aligned. Sturdy and looks stylish when finished. Would not hesitate to recommend.
