Whar colors are in this? Some of the photos make it look a bit pink in color.

No its just the photo, it's not a deep red but it's red and looks red. Just a bad photo. It's a nice color and the fabric is really comfortable.

Does this Duvet have a zipper closure and corner ties to hold the quilt in place? If not what does it have?

No, it has snaps for closure; there are no ties. I turn it inside out & using jumbo size safety pins, pin it no place at bottom. Then as I bring it up over duvet I pin the top 2 corners & 1 in middle before I snap it closed. Snaps are small & concealed once closed.

Will this fit a US queen size comforter?

Yes it will. I actually think a king is better. I have a king size lightly filled alternative down comforter in mine and it fits perfectly. But I did have a queen in it and it was fine also. A little loose but just fine.
