This is the second time I have ordered the Crucial 8GB Ram - I have two older Acer Aspire 1 A111-31-C56Q laptops, and upon replacing the original 2 GB Ram with the 8Gb, what a difference! The boot up speed and simply browsing the internet, the speed difference is brilliant. If you have a computer with low Ram, then this item would certainly help speed the computer up. There are videos which will show how simple it is to install - well worth it. My Asustor 5304T could take another RAM card in order to increase performance, and recommended this one for that purpose. Ordering it was simple and once it arrived, the hardest part was having enough space in the Asustor to get my fingers to manipulate the card in place. That said, once in, the card was detected immediately upon boot-up and I've had it running for a couple of years now - no issue. I've always had good experience with Crucial Ram sticks.

The memory module came quickly and carefully wrapped. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and had no issue installing the memory. It was not the same clock speed as the one it replaced (it is slower, 2400hz), but I don't think it makes much difference. It is more about increasing memory size, which helps load things into the memory, which helps with speed. Note that memory replaces your removable memory module only. There is a permanent 4GB attached to the motherboard (soldered?). I replaced the other 4GB with this new 8GB memory module, so I now have 12GB of total memory. 4 + 8 = 12
