I haven't fired it up yet, but it arrived quickly, well packed and with everything required. Cameras seem solid. I had to buy a hard drive to go in it, which is fine, but a word of advice, your new hard drive may not come with the four screws to fix it in, and the DVR doesn't, as it's kind of not their responsibility I guess. Luckily I had some, but if you don't, they seem to be standard computer drive fixing screws.One other thought, I've had all-in packages like this over the years, and sometimes better cameras, but although I won't use more than four, I bought a package with eight cameras so that when it goes out of warranty and a camera fails, as they all do at some stage, I have a direct replacement standing by. That's my plan anyway!

Absolutely fantastic value for money. I really can’t believe this kit was only £200. Everything was well packaged, all the bits of kit feel to be of good quality, especially the cameras which have a nice bit of weight to them but are still adequately supported by the brackets. The interface on the DVR is superb and easy to use, very quick and responsive. The picture quality is clear and sharp when connected to my monitor either by HDMI or VGA cable. The playback frame rate is excellent and the compression retains most of the crispness of the image. The internet connection was incredibly easy to set up, as soon as it was plugged into my router the setup wizard on the DVR found the connection, and gave me a QR code to scan on my phone. Within minutes I was monitoring the cameras remotely. Can’t reccomend this product enough, superb!

I brought this to replace an old CCTV system where the DVR stopped working. For the price point it made sense to get a whole new system as i got 8 better quality cameras, all fittings/accessories and the DVR. The DVR connected up to my old cameras no problem but then i decided to change all the old cameras for the newer cameras.As i made the purchase in a rush i didn't read the full description to realise that the DVR didn't have a hard disk so no playback was available out of the box. However, this was easily solved by purchasing a CCTV hard drive off Amazon. All you have to do is open up the DVR and you will find two loose wires inside that connect directly to the hard drive. It's very straightforward and self explanatory. When you start the DVR up again it automatically formats the hard drive and the recording starts to take place and you can now playback.Setting up the app on your phone is very straight forward using the guide on the screen. It has QR codes to link you to the IOS/Android app and also a QR code to enter the serial number of the DVR.I did have a problem with one of my cameras being blurry and contacted Amazon to resolve this. Amazon could not resolve the issue as it was a problem with part of the package and not the whole item so i was told to contact the manufacture. I was a bit disappointed at first but nevertheless I e-mailed the manufacture over all the information and within 45 mins they responded via both e-mail and WhatsApp with a solution (which was a replacement camera sent out to me for the following day). I did not expect this sort of customer service level and am over the moon with the service that i have recieved.

I've installed this system about a month ago, and I can't say that I'm happy with it.Pros1. It does record footage, and you can view this footage and live stream from cameras on your mobile phone. But I'm afraid this is where it's useful functionality ends...Cons1. It is impossible download footage stored on hard disk to your mobile phone. The app (XmEye) has an option to download selected files to your phone, but is simply doesn't work.2. When viewing recorded files remotely via phone, I always need to choose required time -1 hour to get to the right time. This is very annoying bug.3. It is impossible to connect to DVR via PC. Attempting to connect to it via IP address works, but it is impossible to view anything on it without installing a browser plugin of questionable origin.4. The app (XmEye) is prone to constant time-outs when viewing remote playback.5. DVR does not have an option to store recordings on the cloud, meaning that if it gets stolen, all footage on it will be gone too.ConclusionIf all the above points were somehow addressed, it would be a good value for money system. However as it stands now it's not.

I purchased the 8 channel Sansco CCTV system. I installed cameras around the house viewing the front, back and side of the property. The cameras are simple to install and adjust, the cables supplied are very long and I managed to cover the property without need for extensions.The only minor difficulty that I had was that the connectors on the cables (BNC and phono plugs) require quite a large diameter hole if you are feeding them through walls.The base unit supplied is well built and the software is easy to use - apart from changing the passwords you can basically keep all of the default settings.The mobile software is excellent as well.I had a problem with one of the cameras - I contacted customer support on a Saturday afternoon and by the next day (Sunday) I had a response with a resolution from Sansco.I would recommend this CCTV system to anybody

All the pieces nicely packaged in the box, the setup was easy to do.
