I cannot recommend this cage enough.
I needed a new cage as I'd recently rehomed a third ferret and the one I had was just not big enough. I'd originally seen this cage on other websites that I hadn't heard of. I was very sceptical at first due to the reviews that had been left for those particular companies, who were apparently not very credible. So naturally I turned my attention to Amazon (who I trust immensely) and saw that they too had this cage. After umming and ahhing, I caved and bought it. I am gobsmacked at the quality for such a low price. It took 30 minutes to put together - All of the pieces are whole, so you just have to slot and slide the framework into place and screw in with the Allen key and screws provided. It was SO SIMPLE. Ignore what people have said about it being difficult, it shouldn't take you any longer than an hour to put together. There are the two "walls", the "roof" and two side bars to connect the walls together. It comes with instructions too which were basic but helpful. It seriously couldn't have been any easier to put together. Not only this, but the height is phenomenal. I'm 5ft5" and it's nearly as tall as me and the width is nearly my arm's length. The framework is very sturdy and the wheels glide across the floor like a dream. The platforms are also very sturdy and click right into place. You can put them pretty much wherever you want which I was super happy about. Having the three doors for each section of the cage is also fantastic as it means that it will be way easier to clean. I can fit my entire arms and shoulder width into these doors, so none of the trying-to-reach-difficult-corner struggle that I've found with my previous cage (which I hated!). The doors also have their own locks attached too. I'm so happy with the space of this cage that I'm actually looking forward to giving it its first clean!Which brings me to my next point. This is the part that I was thrilled about, the bottom of the cage is its own litter tray. There are two trays that you slide into the bottom of the cage. The first is the actual barred metalwork which is used as the flooring as well as the divide for the second part, which is a large plastic tray that slides directly underneath it. You can see on the official pictures of what I mean. But this plastic tray slides right into place without any problems whatsoever, AND there is also a disk-lock that you can turn to hold the metal framework in place. It's amazing.I am so happy that I bit the bullet and bought this cage. I scoured the Internet looking for a decent large cage, but most were going for over £200! This one totals to UNDER £100 including standard delivery. I'm surprised that this isn't going for much more. Definitely a bargain and if I needed to (although I doubt it due to the quality!), I would buy another again in a heartbeat. It is worth every single penny and it makes me feel better about my ferrets having somewhere decent, huge and safe to sleep in. HOWEVER, the spaces between the bars are small enough for my tiniest ferret to not get through (I put him in it to test as he has managed to get under the oven before as he's so small!), but I imagine baby ferrets, rats and mice would manage to squeeze out of. If you're wanting to buy this for adult ferrets, there will be no problems whatsoever!I wish I had bought this cage sooner, but at least my old one can be used for when I go on holiday and have to take the fuzzies with me.If you're reading this and hesitating, don't. It's a well put together, awesome quality and super cheap cage that I definitely do not regret buying. I genuinely couldn't be happier with the cage itself and with the amazing service that Amazon has provided once again.I've provided some pictures so you can get a better look of what the end result looks like. I have included the platforms and litter tray from the old cage (which are the green parts) as well as blankets, but everything else including a water bottle and a BIG food bowl came with the cage.Awesome cage, awesome price and awesome service. Thank you!

Great cage for male rats
Fantastic cage, I’ve had it for 2 months now and it’s been great. Easy enough to assemble (with 2 people), easy to clean (platforms can be a little faffy as they snap in VERY firmly) and tonnes of room for the lads to scuttle around in. Regarding the bar spacing- I’ve housed young 2 month old male rats and had no escapees. Very sturdy and good build quality.EDIT: I’ve had this cage for almost a year now and can firmly say this is a great cage. I would not recommend this cage for females as the bar spacing is too wide but any male rats over 3 months are definitely fine. It’s had some hammer from my lads and it’s still as good as new, be careful when removing platforms as I had one hook snap off when I applied a little too much brute force and as far as I’m aware there are no replacement platforms available.

Double check everything is in the box!
The cage is great! Plenty of room for the wee rats too run around in. The only drawback is that it is fiddly to put together, and I had some damaged pieces and I can not contact the supplier to get them replaced. Also, the water bottle was missing. Other than that, it is a really good product.

Cage is a very good size well made and very easy to assemble.
Purchased for a ferret I was given with the intention of getting him a companion. Cage is a very good size well made and very easy to assemble. Didnt like the feeding bowl as my ferret knocked it all over the place so have ordered a bolt on one for his food. I put a towel on the bottom to cover the wire and hide the newspaper in the tray below which my ferret curled up in. Replacing paper in tray regularly so very easy to keep clean and unsmelly. Added Hammock to the top and my ferret goes up and down with ease. Also like the 3 doors so you can open to replace food etc when the ferret is on another level if like me you are a bit afraid of ferrets. This is hubby's pet.

buyer beware 23mm bar spacing
Rather annoyed that it's sold specifically as a rat cage only to find that when I've put it together the bars are 23mm distance between them. Going to be buying young rats and they'll undoubtedly be able to escape. Wish I'd read Q&A section a bit more before buying because I'd have bought something else... but when something is sold as a rat cage you expect it to keep rats in and you expect the bars to be distanced right to keep even small rats in. Others have said they've bought mesh to wrap the cage in... but that's not something you should have to do when you pay nearly £100 for it in the first place, might as well have made one from scratch if you need to buy mesh. It's a great cage really insofar as looks and how it's put together... it just needs more bars... manufacturer scrimping on materials? now I need another cage for young rats.... not good enough.

Amazing
I have 3 male rat brothers, they are big boys and this cage is plenty big enough for them. It's easy to assemble and easy to clean. The tray at the bottom is a nice touch but i use carpets squares on the bottom as the bar spacing means my boys feet could slip through and hurt them. I usually clean and wipe out with a pet safe spray every week and every month or so i take all the shelves out for a deeper clean and rearrange the lay out too as the boys love to explore new areas. The bar spacing is fine at 2.5 cm and the 3 doors are really nice and big which makes cleaning easy, their beds are on The top level so I always make sure there is a fleece or towel over the top to keep warmth in. The shelves are plastic which is good for little feet but I do use fleece blankets to cover them to absorb moisture and keep them warm. It's a beast of a cage I'm really happy with it and so are my boys, I let them run round the house when I'm home and they always go back to the cage for their litter tray and when they are tired. Great cage and would highly recommend it for rats. Just a note do not use sawdust as it's bad for rats breathing and feet, I also found the same breathing issue with "rat safe" shredded paper bedding so use fleece beds, blanket liners and I cut up blankets into squares for them to put in to their beds and snuggle.
