These are the best pencils that I've tested so far.
These pencils are very good in quality. I've tested few other brands (good one) but the Caran D'ache are next level. Using the same paper I could easy see the smooth and another thing at least for me, you can use the H pencil por example and when you press looks like you are using B or 2B. I can also to this using other brand but not so smooth as these pencils. Only one consideration. the HB seems to be "darker" than B, quite strange. Maybe it's just my perception.

Superb drawing pencils
At double the price of my usual go to choice of Faber Castell 9000's for the full set of 15, these pencils need to be good.First impressions are good. Each grade is distinctly different to the next, they blend well together to give great shading results. Compared to the Fabers the mid grades are similar, however the softer grades appear darker and seem to lay down better, and the H's go down smoother with less scratchiness.Having the barrel colour matched to the lead grade is an added bonus.

Excellent quality and worth the money.
I am a photorealist drawing artist and I am always looking to improve my tools and techniques. I read on a few websites that this brand were the best in terms of quality so I thought I'd give them a go. They are pricey but I can honestly say that they are worth the extra money. The quality of the graphite is superior to all other brands I have tried (including Faber-Castell) as they appear to be much stronger and less prone to breaking whilst also producing lovely rich tones. They also sharpen beautifully. I would say the pencil grades are slightly softer on average than Faber-Castell for example but I view this as a positive.

These pencils are great but packaging not so good
These pencils are great but packaging not so good. The pencils aren't padded in the tin and might get damaged in the post possibly shattering the lead in the pencil

Not worth the money
Was hoping these would live up to all the positive reviews, was sadly disappointed. Although felt very smooth for shading at first, soon found hard scratchy parts in each pencil leaving dark lines. The finish appears nice at first but the lettering starts to wear off and you a left guessing on the grade of pencil, although having the paint indicate the grade is helpful and a nice touch. Was hoping for better.
