I have problem feet. Wide, with high arches, and a painful spot on top that shoes with Velcro or laces aggravate. These were perfect. Easy to get on. Close enough about the ankle not to slip off while walking, but not so close they rub. Comfortable sole, but not so squishy I could turn my ankle. And they look nice, too.
