Excellent value for money. I was skeptical when ordering but I am really impressed. It is a basic thing however does the job.Our 8 yr old cat is in renal failure and she has started seeking heated spots as she's obviously struggling to keep warm but loves being outside. So I ordered a cat house to go in our patio that I'm going to water protect and wanted something for the inside that would be soft for her to curl up in but also keep her warm in the colder months.It does crinkle as some people have warned and it does but not as much as I was expecting. That said, our cat is very skittish at "new things" and weird noises so I popped this on a chair I knew she had started sleeping on under our kitchen table. She's literally just gone on there and at first she did a double take and did her big "head bob" thing she does when she's found something new she's not sure of. But she jumped up and jumped slightly at the crinkle but she's already curled up on it... So I'm hopeful she will see it helps keep her warm and when the cat house for outside arrives, she'll recognise it inside and not hesitate to go in to nap.She does spend more time inside in winter but we have noticed her spending more time outside this year so wanted to provide her with excellent comfort inside and out.I highly recommend this cheap but effective product. You do get what you pay for and I anticipate the cover might break in the future when washing, however it's nothing an hour or 2 one day to fix or make a new cover wouldn't sort.

I was a little skeptical but went with this product because of the reviews. We have a kitchen with no central heating, so can be very cold if we haven't been using the oven or lit the woodburner in there, which often we don't. I can confirm that this mat does seem to work. We put ours inside the cat igloo we have, underneath the snuggle bag we put into the igloo, and it does seem to keep nice and cosy and warm in there. It does take a while to warm up in the igloo, but after an hour or so if I put my hand inside, both the cat and the inside of the igloo are really warm. I am not sure how this would perform if not used inside an igloo but it cerrainly does have heat retaining properties!

Minus stars if possible. Nasty piece of rubbish!! I have bought the heat pads before from Amazon from a different supplier, this is nothing like the one advertised. Did not arrive in the advertised box but in a black bag. Made of cheap nasty brown immitaation 'sheepskin type material' with a piece of foil that was not even inside the material. Thought it was too good to be true for the price! Returned immediately for a refund.

My doggy loves this. I put it over her pillow in the bed. She used to keep waking up in winter if downstairs living room got too cold so had some restless nights. Since we had this blanket she slept through the night every night and was warm and cosy during winter nights sleeping on this thermal rug over her pillow and couple of blankets on top. The cover unzips so it is very easy to wash which is very convenient. Doggy loves just lying on it and getting cosy. Good buy

We have a ridiculously picky cat who ultimately prefers to sleep in our bed than any of the many, many, cat beds we've bought over the years ... Bought this blanket on a whim and he loves it! Good product, really does reflect the heat and "warm" up the longer the cat stays on it!The reflective core can be removed for washing the outer cover and the faux sheepskin outer is good quality and fairly soft. A really good buy for the price.

I have a few cats and all of them have used this over the past couple of weeks. Seems to do the job of keeping them warm with their own body heat. Comfy exterior, does crackle a little when they first lay down due to the reflective layer inside. Overall pleased, although have not had to wash it so far, so will update review when it's been through the wash

Quick (signed for) delivery. My cat found it rustled too loudly though and would not take another step on it. Solution found by removing foil-type inner. Cat happy to sleep just on the fleece cover ~ with foil-type inner positioned underneath instead. Well, that's cats for you! Hope it will manage to reflect cats body heat seeing this is why it was purchased, but hard to tell. Would personally not recommend for a nervous/anxious cat like mine.

My cat loves this blanket! We used it to line his wicker basket, and now it's his favourite place to sleep. The crackling noise doesn't bother him because the blanket doesn't move very much. The fleece topping feels nice but after a couple of weeks it's getting a bit grubby lookng, so we'll have to see how well it washes.
