Versatile and Efficient Electric Food Steamer
I recently purchased this electric food steamer, and it has been a delightful addition to my kitchen. Primarily, I use it to prepare delicious baozi and mantou, and it performs exceptionally well. The size is just perfect for a family of four, ensuring that everyone gets their share of these steamed treats. One of the standout features of this steamer is its versatility. I experimented with cooking soy chicken in it, and the results were fantastic. The steamer maintained the right level of moisture and heat, resulting in perfectly cooked, flavorful chicken. However, it's worth noting that this steamer might not be the best choice for cooking rice. I found that rice requires extra time for soaking before steaming, which can be a bit inconvenient. If rice is a staple in your diet, you might want to stick to a traditional rice cooker for that purpose.Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this electric food steamer. It's easy to use, efficient, and great for a variety of dishes, especially for steamed buns and chicken. Highly recommended for families who love steamed dishes!

The prettiest steamer you'll own!
Shiny, bright & PINK! What more can you ask for? It's a steamer that won't be hidden in a cupboard! It also works very well! The 'translated' instructions are rather overwritten & the controls probably didn't need to be quite so elaborate! A simple digital timer would suffice especially when we all like our fish, veggies etc cooked to personal taste. But I applaud the detailed effort.I've only had it a couple days - but so far works excellently! Very easy to clean - but you can't put it in the dishwasher - I guess because of the rubberized handles - which actually make it super safe to handle when hot.I've seen reviews mention the base stainless steel gets 'spotty' with use - but again, an easy fix - just wipe it with white wine vinegar - & it shines up like new.

Broke down after 4 months & got replaced
It broke down after 4 months, the power cord has burnt marks. I replaced the power cord, but it still does not work. Then I connected with customer service and got the base replaced.

A great steamer
I hesitated between this one and Buydeem for a long time. Finally, I chose this one. The reason is mainly because of its completely stainless-steel design. And the base can be used to cook hot pot. I'd say the actual use is surprisingly simple, I usually just tap the function button and that's it. When steaming, you need to put a plate inside, otherwise it's a pain to clean.

4.5 stars - nice affordable stainless steel food steamer.
I was in the market for an electric food steamer around $100 and was hoping to get stainless steel baskets. I have used and don't particularly like steamers using plastic ones. I don't think the food tastes as good. The Bear does the trick and adds additional value by adding a second stackable basket and letting you remove both and use the device as a hot pot. The digital controls are clear enough and english instructions while not great will get you up and running quickly. They provide suggested times for about 20 common food items but it is not as comprehensive a list as I have received with other steamers. You will likely need to experiment a bit to dial in optimal settings for foods not on their list. The construction is about what you would expect for sub 100 $. Other than stainless steel baskets, the exterior base is mostly plastic. Those looking for an all-clad or le creuset like heirloom to pass down should probably look elsewhere. Where I live the water tends to leave calcium water deposits on stainless steel so in order to remove the water spots from the water reservoir I let soak for a few minutes in vinegar. Cleans it right off. Overall, unit is a step up from budget steamers that one normally encounters. Good value for the money.
