Emmi Fondue Cheese - Fondue Suisse Original (Pack of 4)

Great for fondue. Arrived quickly.

Last had one of these about 20 years ago and then the supermarket stopped selling them. Purely by chance a tv series mentioned them and I thought of Amazon. And here they were. They have not changed in 20 years and still taste as good with a couple of slices of ham chopped up, a French stick and 2 bulbs worth of garlic. We got 4 this time but that will definitely not be the last now we know where they are hiding.

Easier than preparing from scratch and the cheese blend makes it easier for cleaning the fondue dish afterwards. Not so much as a welded mass that has to be scrubbed out of the fondue dish

Love these little packages of oozy goodness! Decent portion for 2 if you're having full Savoyard spread, probably would leave you wanting if you're just having bread though. We've taken to pimping this slightly with some garlic rubbed on the pot as it warms before adding the cheese, and then a glug of white wine to boost it slightly. Not necessary, but it's fun!

Emmi fondue is a 30+ year favourite but almost impossible to get in your supermarket. Great to be able to get on Amazon. Easy to use product giving perfect results every time. Buy 10 @ a time if you can afford it.. Just melt in a fondue pot or saucepan and tuck in. Use french stick loaf preferably a day old so it doesnt fall off the fondue fork.. enjoy

Way too expensive

Tried our first package the other night and was very impressed. The one package was more than enough for two of us to make a complete and satisfying meal of. We had it with apple slices and fresh crusty French bread.

Just barely enough for two people with a loaf of french bread, though. So I usually get two at a time for four people, and if they're big eaters, get three. Sure, it's expensive, but a lot easier than all the grating and stirring of making cheese fondue yourself. Hint, add some extra cherry Kirsch.

I use it to make seafood au gratin..make several at a time and freeze them (shrimp, scallops, button mushrooms, etc)
