Solid Board
I've wanted a Go board for a long time and finally decided to pull the trigger. Did a lot of research and learned that bamboo actually warps over time in a lot of climates so I opted for this shin kaya wooden board. It isn't a perfect board, while I couldn't get pictures of it there were some slight imperfections in the finished surface but considering the price of the board I'm not going to complain. The stones are decent, I actually ended up with 7 extra white and 9 extra black stones. Some of the white stones are a little deformed, not to the point of being unusable but a little noticable, but again with the entry price of this set I can't complain. The bowls are really nice and I like the carry bag and the board cover that comes with it. Would definitely recommend for anyone starting out that wants their own entry level board

Price reflects quality
Incomplete set - I did receive it without 1 black and 7 white stones.board defects - 10x5mm scratch on the side(pretty visible), drop marks on the sides after bad oiling(hard to see)deformed stones - some portion of stones are not even and are slightly deformed on the top/bottom(not big issue cuz deformation is small)+1 for very nicely packaging

Beautiful, well crafted. But received incomplete set
This is a beautiful and well made product. The seller was very helpful. But I was not prepared to wait 17 days for replacement parts. So returned item.

Outstanding quality
Beautifully made. Board and bowls larger than expected. My son was very happy with his present.

It's OK but not made of a piece of wood
The package is good. The board is well protected. But I noticed this is made from several pieces of wood glued together. As the seller mentioned, the material of the Go board is important. The price of the board made from one piece of Shin Kaya wood is 3-5X higher than those pieced together. I am looking for a gift here. So a little bit disappointed.
