This steam oven has replaced a microwave, toaster and air fryer in my kitchen.
I bought my Baumann steam oven in October 2024. Now, July 2025, there's no way I could go back to using a microwave for reheating any food. This steam oven has replaced a microwave, toaster and air fryer in my kitchen. As for baking, I've tried it (made a cake) and it works just as well as a regular oven. I have a 9x13 aluminum pan (no handles) and it fits in the steam oven just fine. It toasts bread great. I normally toast my bread on the middle rack. Doesn't get as brown as some people may like, but the toast is very crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. If you want it brown, just move the rack up towards the heating element. This oven is my go-to for reheating frozen croissants from Costco. The reheat function injects steam to keep the croissants from getting dry inside. Once the reheat function is done, let the croissant sit for a minute, and you've got a warm croissant with a flaky outside, perfect! The air fryer option works just as well. I do tend to increase the temperature just a bit above the directions on the food packaging, to give it some extra crispiness. If you're looking to get a steam oven in your kitchen without having to replace your regular oven, this is the way to go!

Always film yourself when you're opening the package.
"This oven is a fantastic product, truly. Just one tiny thing to watch out for: it might arrive with the power cord severely mangled and crushed. But don't bother complaining to the seller. If you do, you'll get this 'magical' response: “Those units were inspected and tested, and we can confirm that on a new product, the power cord is packaged and routed in a way that makes it impossible for it to be pinched, cut, or damaged while in the manufacturer’s packaging. The damage appears consistent with external pressure occurring after the unit has been unpacked.” In other words, they’re basically calling you a liar. So, pro-tip: you’d better film a cinematic masterpiece of yourself unboxing it. Though, knowing them, they’d probably claim the video was CGI or faked anyway. Anyway, I’m just using it with electrical tape wrapped around the damaged cord. It’s been three days, and the product itself is great—aside from the fact that it keeps blowing my fuses. Maybe it’s just my 'ancient' 7-year-old house, right? "Everyone knows that errors happen in the manufacturing process. Even a large company like Best Buy once sent me a washing machine with a damaged power cord. They were professional enough to replace it immediately. But this company seems to think they're 'more perfect' than Best Buy, claiming that such defects are 'impossible' at their factory in China. My only 'mistake' seems to be that I opened the product myself instead of having a professional witness their mistake." Just remember: a 'good' product isn't always the one with a million features. Honestly, I should have just bought a separate oven and a separate air fryer. Save yourself the headache."

Must Have in any Kitchen!
I just have to say, I am beyond impressed with this all-in-one kitchen appliance. As someone who has owned various types of cooking machines, from air fryers, ovens, and steamers, I can confidently say that this one does it all and does it so well! I was initially concerned if there was a potential for smoke or steam to come pouring out of the machine somewhere, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't at all, no need to worry about my upper cabinets. The touch interface is incredibly user-friendly, with helpful recommended settings displayed on the face. It's refreshing to have an appliance that doesn't have a million of knobs or buttons with different settings that can making cooking so annoying. I really appreciate the included variety of trays and the 3 rack system, which allows for multiple proteins to cook or even an entire meal. What's more, it's impressively quiet while in use and the noise alert is subtle and not at all obnoxious. The appliance is also not that big, it takes up as much room as any table-top oven or air fryer. This heats up and cools down quickly, so there isn't that much waiting time and it's not loud when cooling down. (My microwave is louder) Overall, definitely recommend this all-in-one to replace your air fryer, steamer, and oven appliances. Just get this. Its time to see your counters again, like me.

Convenient appliance
Having a multifunction appliance is a good thing in the kitchen. Steaming should get a lot of use for bread baking and air fry seems to work well. Only obvious shortcoming is lack of a library of recipes, they do have a few online but that needs to be supplemented. UPDATE - inside bottom of door area is bubbling and paint looks ready to peel off. Company is not responding to my email. Extended warranty paid in full. Threw it out!

Came damaged
Would like to update review to 4 stars. Contacted Amazon and we had a new one by the next week and they took the damaged one. Oven works great and love it. Easy to clean even after air-frying meat. Love the steam cooking. Had it for about a month and the only thing wrong is the inside paint on the bottom of the door is peeling off.

I do not miss my microwave
Update 4/4/25 After 6 months of use, I received an "E1" error code. I can't hear food anymore. I contacted Baumann to file a claim. After waiting for a few days I received a message that it takes 5-7 business days to process the claim. That is more than inconvenient for a device our family of 6 relied on for 6 months. Now I need to find another one to buy. This really sucks. $400 is a lot of money to waste on a faulty product. I do not recommended. Original Review I just became increasingly uncomfortable with heating up food with microwave radiation and decided to switch. It takes longer to heat but heats evenly, even rice heats up well on reheat function...no cold pockets and perhaps even safer than microwave radiation. I do not miss my microwave at all!

We wanted a multifunction steam oven to replace a built-in Bosch convection steam oven that we had in our old house and to reduce the current use of our large 36" propane oven. We did a lot of research before settling on the Baumann multifunction steam oven. We have been using it for almost a month now and have no regrets about our purchase. It has nothing to envy of my old Bosch! We did several trials: bread, whole chicken, steamed vegetables, fish, breaded chicken fingers, eggs, etc. We use it almost every day; it meets our expectations and our needs. We use both the selecting preset menu and the selecting cooking function. Easy to use and clean, compact, quiet and efficient, what more can I say. Contrary to some comments, we have no problem with deformation of accessories or water leaks. It is true that there is no recipe included or cooking instructions apart from the selecting preset, but it is very easy to fill in the gaps on the internet. (recipe book for Bosch miele steam oven, thermador etc.) I recommend it without hesitation.

I've had this oven for about 4 days, and made a bunch of different dishes using mostly the steamer and steam oven. It works really well and easy, and the food came out beautifully. Attached are a picture of steamed fish in banana leaves, and steam baked bread. I am genuinely excited to cook again tonight with this oven. There are a couple of things that might be good to know: -the steam comes out at the front right bottom. It is a steamer, it will release a lot of steam. -the toaster function is not as good as a regular toaster -since it is a steamer, it is really easy to clean - but the dirty water needs to be taken out regularly and be refilled regularly. -the list with numbers and preset configurations on the front, cannot be taken off.
