🎶 Twist, beat, and own the rhythm of tradition!
The DOBANI Damru is a handmade wooden percussion instrument inspired by Lord Shiva’s iconic drum. Measuring approximately 4" by 6", it produces authentic rhythmic sounds through wrist-twisting motion that strikes the drum heads with attached beads. Each piece is unique in color and finish, crafted by Indian artisans, making it perfect for religious ceremonies, festivals, or as a cultural musical instrument for rhythm learning and enjoyment.

Good hand size and a good sound. The one I received is not the drum pictured though. It is a very dark blue, almost black color with white stripes. There are giant plastic silver beads on the strings which can be slid up and down the sides. The red bead on the striker strings are also plastic. The description says it is 6” tall, but mine is only ~5”. I have small hands though, so that does not bother me. Width is accurate. Aesthetically I would have preferred the colorful drum pictured, but for this item the important thing is the sound produced and ease of use. It serves that purpose well, so I would not feel right to lower the star rating. Still, be aware that you could get a different Damru than pictured if you buy this item. As a note, since there is a review about the size of the item: this type of drum, Damru, is supposed to be small so that it can be held in the middle. You twist your wrist while holding it so the striker strings swing and hit the drumming surface with the beads to produce specific sounds. It is a Hindu and Buddhist religious item, but it can also be used as an ordinary instrument. It’s ease of use can make it very fun for young children and is a great tool for learning the concept of rhythm.

This product is great. I wanted to buy for my little one. I was looking for 4"w X 6"L as described in description of this product but it is very small. I don't mind as it is for my little one. But whoever wants for themselves, this is tiny.
