Was a used item and NOT new as described. Had paint from previous installation on it. While the item seems fine, it's the principle upon which this seller very cheeky to send out a used item at full price.

I had a big wooden gate that needed a self-closure to keep my dogs from getting out. It seems that maintenance workers often forget to close it when leaving. The Stanley hinge came in a 2-pack and was super-easy to install -- just screw it in to the post and gate. I thought it was a little pricey, but then, again, I am not used to buying anything other than plain old manual hinges. The instructions say that the Stanley hinges should be the ONLY hinges on the gate, but I was too lazy to remove the old hinges (they are reasonably new). I installed the new hinges in addition to the old ones. Everything works great, but it is important to align the new hinges with the old ones. You don't want any binding. Bottom line: Great product at an ok price.

I installed it with national hardware lock. The self drilling hardware is good quality, it easily drill thru aluminum. Only downside is the installation instruction. The hinge have a recess on one of the part while the instruction shows a tab on both section which I can screw on the side of post. Not that clear which section shall be install on door side vs fixed side

Its the right one for my outdoor spa gate.
