Twelfth Night (Cambridge School Shakespeare)

My kid always wants me to get the Cambridge series for whatever play she's studying because the text is blocked out in a way that's easy to read and annotate. There are tons of call-outs with extra insight into the play, plus tons of fun pictures of the famous Shakespearean actors who have played the various roles and starred in the movie versions.

Good read, has notes to help you understand what’s happening and explains some vocabulary words. Good to get if you need to but it for a class.

I've really enjoyed having this edition of the book. I am currently introducing Shakespeare to seventh graders through Twelfth Night. Many of the activities and questions are helpful in engaging them and inspiring better discussions. Thank you, Cambridge!

I absolutely love this play and own several copies of varying different formats but I must say that I think this is my favourite. Clearly set out in full colour, the text is easy to read and there is plenty of space around it for annotations or notes. On every two-page spread, the left hand side contains notes and clarification of words which are commonly not understood, and information about various performances of the play. In between each act there are several pages used to recap, and at the end there is detailed context and suggestions for activities. A must-have edition for Shakespeare lovers and students studying the play.

This is by far the greatest edition of twelfth night out there, with lots of context and key points, as well as translations for words. This is great for my English A level or if you love Shakespeare like me and want to learn more about his wonderful texts

The book says it is a full colour design but everything inside is in black and white. Disappointing as it looks like we got a photocopy.
