This fit on my Foodsaver great and I have used it to vacuum seal lots of jars full of freeze dried food. It’s easy to use and works like a champ. Pulls the air out for about 30 seconds, then you hear a satisfying “pop” as the jar lid seals down. So far most of the jars have stayed sealed and the food stays nice and fresh with no air inside. You can easily switch back and forth between regular and wide mouth.

Last year I purchased the "name brand" seal kit for twice the amount as this one costs. The wide mouth sealer of the name brand works ok, but the small mouth jar sealer would seal maybe one out of six tries... IF I got lucky. Needless to say, all my oxygen absorbers died before I could seal my goods. I researched what I was doing wrong and discovered almost everyone had big issues with the name brand small mouth sealer. It just doesn't seal properly. This sealer kit advertises an upgraded seal. I have only had this seal kit for a couple of days, however, I sealed 2 dozen small 4oz jars this morning and not a single jar failed to seal. I am going to purchase another one of these kits.. just because it really worked and the price is right! Let me make clear that while researching I found that a lot of folks are using a break bleeder kit saying that the name brand vacuum sealer was unreliable, which I found to be true, so I also purchased a bleeder kit. It does work great but with large jars your hand can get a good workout because it takes a lot of pumping to get the air out. However, I had absolutely no problem sealing large and small jars using the name brand sealer when I used this kit with the upgraded seal. I highly recommend this kit.

The connectors for this product will NOT work with the VS800 - fortunately, I already had a connector from a different product that fits. This product works well with vacuum-sealing mason jars for items such as dried or dehydrated foods. I discovered that it will NOT work on the gold lids that come with the “Mainstays” canning jars; however, if replaced with “Kerr” or “Ball” lids, these jars will seal. Dropped the rating down to 4 stars, due to not having the correct connector for the VS800, which was not stated in the product description when purchased.

Previously tried a battery powered mason jar sealer that was extremely difficult to place on the jar. It did not work well at all. Most times I tried it would fail. This device on the other hand works perfectly. It easily slips onto the mason jar and without an adapter connects to the nipple in my Nutrichef Model PKVS18 I press the button, the pump runs & shuts itself off and the jar is perfectly sealed, Easy Peezy. The green connector is tight, twist and push.

This sealer works just fine with my off-brand, but nice, vacuum sealer. Comes with various size adapters so I’m sure it would work with most brands. Sealed mason jars full of home-brew ceramic glazes nice and securely. Seems to have great suction. Would buy again.

It works great!! Very easy to use. Compatible with my Nesso vacuum sealer system.

This sealed my mason jars very well. Gross bit here- but I kept finding mill bugs. Every time I thought they were gone, they would reappear like a recurring nightmare. Even in mason jars. It’s been weeks, and thank the gods they’re gone.
