Bloody Fantastic..!
My 1991 Left Handed Custom Shop 57 Precision Bass had one of those 57 vintage pickups (hand wound) with the raised "A Poles" and was a nightmare to get any sound from the E string with a really loud A string.....apparently the raised A poles are due to the A string being low output in 1957. I just couldn't get it to sound right....Bought these pickups to try in it and WOW..!!! Absolutely sorted....the string volumes are now all perfectly balanced, and the sound is so much better than the 57 pickup (in my opinion)I didn't realise that there is no such thing as a left handed Precision bass pickup, so I had to carefully remove the pickups from the brass ground plate, flip it over and attach the rubber sponge dampers to the other side (making a mirror image). Luckily there is plenty of wire attached, so this was fairly easy, and fitted perfectly with the gold anodised scratchplate. This pickup set sounds incredible, and only the most moronic trainspotter would notice that it's a 62 and not a 57 pickup fitted.....I love my Custom Shop 57 even more now, these pickups maintain the authenticity of the bass, and really really sound good. :-))

Tried two neither worked, bought another from a more reputable dealer, still waiting for the refund
Looks like the genuine article, but did not work at all. I sent it back and received another but this also did not work. I tried three different circuit layouts with no success despite the old pickup working in all of them. I suspect the coiling is damaged in them. Now I am still waiting for a refund despite the item being received over 8 days ago now. I would avoid these.

BEWARE!! Do Not Buy A Used Set.
I bought what was advertised to be a used set of these. They were in fact, a cheap budget brand with plastic wiring not cloth. They were not even used, as originally advertised. Just stuck in a box to fool buyers.Luckily Amazon are good at refunding, although they may appear for sale on here again so beware!

Top notch pickups.
Great pickups, really great sound, easy to install ( just need a bit of practice soldering). Top notch pickups.

Incredible Sound
I removed a set of EMG Geezer Butler pups and dropped in these Fender CS ‘62s. This is exactly the sound I was wanting! Irrespective of which amp I run the P Bass through, the thick growly sound is at the forefront. No regrets. I have Custom ‘60s in my J Bass which are deeply warm and smooth

How to make a cheap P bass sound great!
I bought a cheap Fender Squier P bass recently but it just didn't sound great. Obviously I couldn't blame it because I purchased it so cheaply but wondered if I could just install some higher end pickups to help the tone. I am very happy I did because these sound incredible in comparison to the stock pickups. The sound is much warmer and full bodied. Previously I had to keep the tone knob all the way back because the treble sounded terrible but now it is my favorite tone on the guitar. Now after some setup work and these pickups my cheap bass plays and sounds like a dream. Makes me want to try buying more cheap guitars for pickup swaps.

Not worth the money you pay in India
Kept as originally made in 62, no earthing etc....no substantial difference in tone from the stock Chinese one.All magnets have equal strength, the E is louder in my bass
