As an author myself, and performance coach with a professional soccer club, I see the value in each chapter of this book for anyone responsible for training soccer players. Coaches from any level of the game can benefit from the knowledge presented in this book. It’s well worth the price!

It’s only a shame that I didn’t have this training manual on my first year in professional soccer. While university, internships, and entry level jobs in performance and soccer prepared me for my role as a sport scientist, there were still a few things I still had to learn in my year one, some like the application of my work in a stressful high performance environment (which is different from the collegiate or academy setting).With this book, you can look no further as it is a perfect blend of art and science. The editors and contributors do a swell job breaking down the science of our work in professional soccer followed by good examples on how you can execute your work in applied fashion.I highly recommend this book to any starting and veteran practitioner in the field of soccer performance.Great job guys!

This book should be read by coaches of every sport, every level & every age group. There is gold in every chapter and will not fail in making you better at improving your players.It is written with the coach in mind, put in simple terms and is engaging throughout. Often books with this much detail and information can be overwhelming but the authors toe the line perfectly of being thoroughly informative while making it easily understandable.I would go as far as to say that this should be mandatory reading on every coaching course. If you work with kids, teens or adults you will walk away from this book with your eyes opened and aware of the correct practices to structure the development of your individuals and teams.I cannot rate this highly enough.
