Garnier SkinActive Exfoliating Face Scrub with Green Tea, Oily Skin, 5 fl. oz.

I love this stuff. I tend to have a very oily and shiny forehead and chin, while my cheeks can be a little dry. And I have pretty sensitive skin since I used to have eczema :(. But when I used this moisturizer, I couldn’t believe for 1, how good it smelled, 2, it doesn’t get in my eyes and burn, 3, it makes my face so soft and way less oily. After a few hours being in the heat, I still get slightly oily but I’m sure that’s a good thing. And my face still feels so moisturized. My dad has an oily face too, but after using this, he said both our faces are so smooth and bright after just 1 use. So give it a try! I also use the deep pore cleanser with it! Um, I did start seeing slight bumps and I got worried, but they didn’t itch or hurt, and after another day, it all went away, and my skin looks so good. I guess it pulled all that funk out of my face lol!

This works great for my genetically oily skin. I find it really refreshing and soothing. My skin stays hydrated all day or night. Like others said, it takes a few minutes to sink in. It doesn’t mattify my skin but it also doesn’t leave any greasy, overly shiny look or feel. I didn’t buy it hoping it would completely mattify my skin. It leaves me with a general dewiness which stays well-balanced throughout the day. I still use oil blotting sheets at least once later in the day because it doesn’t keep my skin completely from producing oil (which makes sense to me). When I use it, I tilt the container toward my palm, give it a little shake and let the amount I want fall out so I don’t have to stick my hands inside the mixture. Overall, I’m really happy with it even though it says is mattifies and it doesn’t.

I ordered this moisturizer and fell in love with it. It feels great on the skin, my face soaks it right up and no oily residue on the skin. It smells great. I turned right around and ordered 2 more jars. When i received them there was way less product in the jar than the first. There was so much less it looked like the jar had been half used. Not sure if it's been used or if i was just cheated. Other than that it's a wonderful moisturizer.

LATEST UPDATE!! Ok so July 2021, bacon when I restocked on this product asian in like late 2019 or early 2020, I thought I was going to love using it like I had originally. However after some time of use my neck area started having severe reactions like chemical burns. I didn’t think it was this product, but after not using it for a bit the reaction disappeared. Then when I tried again after about a month the same reaction happened. So yeah this product maybe it was the different seller but it gave me severe reactions. Bought this on May 3, 2019 and have been using this nightly. It’s great as my skin is oily but using only products to remove oil from my face has made my face more oily. So using this at night it has helped moisturized my skin overnight without it being overly oily. The smell is light which I like because I don’t like strong smelling creams. Update: I restocked because this has become a holy grail item for my nightly routine! I wish I had down so when it was still cheap though. This particular one isn’t sold in stores so I repurchased a double pack! It has done wonders for my skin so I’m really glad to still be able to purchase it here at least.

I had a few issues with this product. First, like a lot of other reviewers have said the jar doesn't come entirely full. There's no safety seal when you open the jar for the first time, and it is closed with a piece of clear tape. Second, for a product that claims to be made of 97% natural ingredients, its had a funky, chemically smell to it. Now, the overall scent is a fresh, herbal, green tea kind of deal, but with distinct undertones of burning plastic, chemicals and other things that scream "PLEASE DO NOT PUT ME ON YOUR FACE". The smell wasn't as strong as in the face wash, which I also bought, but considering that this is a moisturizer,having that sort of scent on your face and hands isn't great. Third, it's so dense! I understand that it's not marketed as a gel moisturizer or anything like that, but being a product specifically for oily skin types I was expecting something much more lightweight. It's an okay product over all. I wouldn't purchase it again, but I'm still going to use it. I guess I must just be spoiled by my usual moisturizer. I use the Holika Holika Lazy and Easy moisturizer on the daily, it's lightweight, smells great, and adds the perfect amount of moisture for my oily, acne prone skin. I typically buy it at Marshalls because it's much less expensive there, but with the current health crisis I've had to settle for something I can afford and have shipped to my home.

I've been using the standard Cetaphil face lotion for years, by my T-zone has become increasingly oily and I've been hunting for a different lotion to use instead. This Garnier for Oily Skin looked perfect on paper. Unfortunately: (1) It's quite perfumed. It's not an unpleasant scent, but it's there and it lingers and for myself who uses no scent at all, it's unbearable. I lasted three days using this lotion before I was felled by a headache and couldn't stand to put it on my face. (2) My oily T-zone? Looked only moderately less oily after this use. Maybe using it longer than three days would have given my skin more time to adjust properly. (3) My non-oily areas? Felt comparatively dry and began to flake in some places. (4) The sensitive areas of skin around my eyes and nostrils felt quite tingly after applying, and that feeling lasted a couple of hours. It didn't hurt or burn, but I think my skin looked a little reddened and I didn't care much for the sensation. Again, using it longer could have allowed my skin to adjust. (5) While I received a sealed tub of appropriate weight, the container holds an inch of air and the base has a deep concave, so the exterior appearance implies a great deal more lotion than the interior holds. I'm not sure I like that marketing there, Garnier -- and I say that as a general fan of your products (I regularly use several other Garnier products). It's a bummer to have to throw out a brand-new purchase, especially since if I could have picked this up at a local store and given it the sniff test I would have known straightaway that it was not my thing (I checked two local stores. Neither had the Green Tea for Oily skin, but both stocked the Rose and the Aloe varieties). But, meh. No, I would not recommend or repurchase this product.
