Wonderful clock!
I've had poor eyesight all my life. So I need a clock that is very visible. This one does the trick in many ways. First, it really is an atomic clock if you have wifi. The numbers in the time are a dark grey-blue or black against a light blue background. Underneath the time is smaller font, but still visible, the indoor temp is in the same colors. In the next block you have the month, date and day, and that is black on a bright green background. It's not a pastel green or neon green. It's more like the color of new grass in spring. The final block is the outdoor temp, (you get a dongle you can hang somewhere outside) has a bright yellow background. Again, it's not pastel or sun bright. Imagine the green of a new young grass blade, but in yellow. With the different positions and different colors I have no trouble reading this clock. I will warn however, that when you first plug it in, even if you set it, it may take a few hours for it to sync with the internet. I set it up, and then ignored it for a day. The next time I looked at it, the time was perfect.

Good large-display illuminated clock with date and inside-outside temp.
Clock is very readable from across room. Not glaringly bright, but bright enough to see easily. I have this where I can see it when waking up at night, which is a big help to me. It is supposed to synch with the government radio time signal, but I don't think it ever did, which may have to do with my placement (middle of the house, low down). Setting the clock wasn't hard though. It has a remote device for tracking outside temp, which I have a long distance (>40 feet) from the clock but it reads that with no problem. When it looks for the radio time (on the hour, early in the morning) it dims the display for a minute, but that's not really a problem. Just be aware that it does that.

This thing is a piece of junk.
The atomic clock I received as a gift at least fifteen years ago has always worked like a charm; this thing, however, is a complete piece of junk, and is a perfect example of how far the quality of things has fallen. For starters, the clock has trouble synching with the time station in Colorado. It is not able to obtain a successful synch every night, like it's supposed to. Well, I thought, even if it can only synch every two or three days, that's not too bad, and the time should be correct. Then I noticed the outdoor temperature sensor was givng wildly inaccurate readings. I had the sensor mounted in the shade, out of direct sunlight and rain, so that tells me it's just a piece of crap sensor. The indoor sensor was usually pretty close to accurate. I tried orienting the outdoor sensor vertically instead of horizontally, and that seemed to help with the readings. Ok, I thought, maybe I'll be able to keep this clock. Then this morning, at about 6:30 AM, I look at the atomic clock and the time shows 9:24 PM. And get this, the symbol that shows the clock had a successful synch during the night was on! LOL, the clock synched with the time station and got the time wrong by about 3 HOURS!! I said that's it, I'm done. This thing is a piece of garbage, and if I can save at least one consumer from going through the frustration I have by leaving a review, I'll be happy. It's very sad that we literally cannot trust anything we buy anymore. I'm putting my 15 year-old atomic clock back up on the wall and returning this piece of crap.

Temp clock
Works great. I like how it tells me inside and outside temperature, including date in time. You can even turn the light off if you don't want it on at night.

Not quite ready
The transmitter and clock keep accurate information. My problem is the lighting, and the LCD readability. Lighting - it comes on very bright for 5 seconds at 1am and hourly after that, which can wake you up. The lowest of the 3 light settings is still too bright and is like a nightlight. Readability - the clock must be read straight on perpendicular, or from above perpendicular in order to read it, If read from below perpendicular, the numbers fade away. So probably not readable from your bed, or if clock is tilted backward like this clock is designed to do in order to use on a horizontal desk or shelf. It needs to be mounted straight up and down vertical, and low on a wall or shelf (3'-4' high), to be seen reliably. Leaning it backward reduces readability. If you do get it mounted at the right angle and height, the 3 backlight values are good for most daylight situations. If using this in your bedroom at night, the 3 light levels are generally too bright, and the lowest level will act like a night light, and can interfere with sleeping. They really need a lower 4th level, and ideally even a voice command for changing light levels like an Alexa connection. However, then you could easily get the time from Alexa.

Love it!
My parents love the large thick numbers on this clock! The day of the week and date are very helpful for senior citizens who are still somewhat independant. Sits nicely on the tv stand (with an option to hang on wall). The vibrant colors make it easy to keep the data separate from each other. The indoor/outdoor temperature readings are accurate with their manual thermometer. READ the instructions, and over half of these reviews would be invalid... it clearly states the clock may sync in the middle of the night, when the radio frequency waves are less busy. It also tells about the accuracy and order of installation of batteries for the outside weather unit... these bad reviews are from people who didn't read the instructions. I am a very picky person when it comes to giving my parents their independence. This clock has been a life saver, and they depend on it to keep the days of the week clear in their minds. My roommate wants one, and he isnt a senior citizen (yet, lol). I will be buying him one for his birthday.

Cool clock, good features, wont hold correct time
First one wouldnt hold signal and maintain time. Ordered replacement. Replacement worked fine, every once in a while would lose time but regain signal and correct itself. Now, less than 1 year later it wont maintain local time, despite resetting time on it. It keeps switching time zones. Looks good, has good features, shame it doesnt want to work properly.
