I’ve been suffering from recurring ear infections for well over a year now, that I get treated by the doctor, clear up and have returned within 6wks. I was advised to ensure I kept my ears as dry as possible to help speed my recovery and then try and prevent the infection returning. So! I purchased these to wear in the shower, especially when I’m washing my hair. They’ve not always stayed put or been the most comfortable - not their fault, one ear canal has shrunk due to the infections - but for the most part they’ve worked great in the shower. The return of the infections has been slowed down so I’m definitely happy that I purchased these water resistant earplugs.

I have tried a few different styles of earplugs over time and these are my favourite. They are smaller than usual though so if you are not a petite person you may find they disappear inside your ears. In my case they are the most waterproof earplugs I own and would recommend them, bearing the above in mind. I have bought three pairs now as they are the best of their type.

Other reviewers have commented on the small size of these plugs, and these are certainly very small! Some even comment that you could lose them down your ear canal - I think that this is very unlikely, but I agree with the sentiment. There isn't a lot of material to get your fingers around when you want to remove them. The upside of this is that they would be comfortable for sleeping in for side sleepers. For my swimming purposes however they do not suit. In my testing at home I was unhappy - there is insufficient diameter to make a good seal against the ear canal no matter how I positioned them. They always felt loose. Thinking that I was perhaps being silly I persevered with them in the pool. They didn't last even 1 lap, and are now floating around the pool never to be seen again. The quality is high, but unless you have small ears, you would be better off purchasing something else. Having said that; don't purchase 3M E-A-R Aquafit Earplugs Adult (XA007703656) - 1 pair either as they are the opposite problem! Far too long. I've also just bought some Zoggs Aqua Plugz Senior from the pool's in-house shop. Not tried them in the pool yet, but I don't hold out much hope from an initial fitting in the car. So I'm £25 down with no solution. I'm starting to think that I should have cut my losses and just plumped for custom made plugs to begin with as I think that's where I'm going to end up!

I cannot recommend these, I ordered these before going on holiday as I suffer with ear infections when water gets in my ears. They arrived and although look great and have a nice case for them. I tried when I showered and they seemed ok, a little water had seeped in by not much at all. When I first used them when swimming and more water was coming against them, it caused 1 to slip further into my ear canal and I was unable to get ahold of it to remove it, my partner tried too and still it slipped further in and was unable to be grabbed hold of, this was very painful and we had to get some tweezers to grab hold and retrieve. I will not use these again and will be searching again for alternatives.

As a regular swimmer, both pool and open water, I bought theses to replace an old favorite type no longer in production. They are very small and come neatly packaged. Using them has not been great. For pool use I had hoped that I would be able to hear my coach at the poolside without needing to take them out which the ad suggests. This has not been the case. Unfortunately they let water in and, due to their small size, sit deep in the ear canal and because of the very short stork they are very difficult to remove, which may provide a comic effect for classmates, but is extremely frustrating.

Worst material quality. Falling out from ears. I want my money back. Cheating cheating

These take a few attempts to insert correctly. Now I can put them in easily and quickly. I don't use the tiny tool to help. They really work. I haven't had water in my ears in weeks. Sound is really diminished so people have to talk really loudly to me when I wear them. The small carrying case is nice, too.
