Transformed old cracked tired boots.
Put some on after dog walk. Was nice and soft easy to apply with my cotton rag. Doesn’t smell and being neutral didn’t change the colour of the boots. Didn’t think it had done much. Came down to them a few hours later. They looked a lot shinier. Buffed them with a clean rag and the dubbin has transformed them from dull and cracked to shiny and slightly cracked. Functioned amazingly well. Hardly used any, will last long making it great value for money. Good stuff. Highly recommended.

I'm convinced
I'd been wondering why my leather boots tended to absorb water quite easily, despite plenty of applications of polish. Turns out that I had not been using Dubbin. That's it. It's a strange substance, somewhat gluey in texture, until you work it into the leather - but it has magical, transformative powers. This is not the brand I was going to buy, but it was quite a bit cheaper and had generally good reviews. I do not regret the choice - it's good stuff and it works very well indeed. The leather of each pair of boots is now waterproof, and it looks more supple, AND it takes the colour of polish or shoe-creme even better. Very good value, you just need to take time to work it well into the leather - and then leave overnight before you buff the shoes. Buff well, as any residual Dubbin will very quickly transfer itself to the fabric of your trousers and will be quite difficult to get out.

it seems good - made my new boots very soft
Seems okay. No idea what is in this after fairly extensive research, not all dubbins were created equally so not know what it's made of makes the mind wander. That said, yeah, it seems good - made my new boots very soft, seems to apply well. By the way if you have new boots or boots needing some tlc it's best to ignore the instructions entirely, apply the dubbin like it feels as if you're using way too much with a polish application brush - making sure you get in in the seems and flaps - and leave it on for 24 hours in a warmish (not cold anyway) room, maybe even rinse/repeat - then wipe the excess with a clean cloth and buff it lightly with a soft shoe brush. Seems like everybody has forgotten how to use this stuff; don't be afraid to leave it on for extended periods to allow it to soak in.

Fabulous
Works as it should - wish I’d have discovered it years ago! One pot does all colours of leather shoes. Great value for money & will last a long time. Easy to use and boots/shoes come up really well, waterproofs too.

Does nothing for patent leather
As dubbin goes I’m sure it’s fine , but sadly I have patent leather which I find out it does nothing for so sadly it’s been wasted

Does what is says.
Thankyou for quick delivery. Product is brilliant. This is for my partners boots when he takes our dog out for a walk. This makes them waterproof and ease of use, doesn’t smell bad, its not sticky and helps to keep the product soft and subtle.
