Yes, just the finish on the handle. The blades are Teflon coated, to allow them to slide down between the cork and the bottle. This is pretty much the only opener I have found to reliably open older bottles of wine, where corks have deteriorated and/or dried out over time. It does this by virtue of the pressure each prong applies to the side of the cork, rather than a ‘screw’ type corkscrew, which on dry corks will cause the cork to crumble and not hold when you try to pull it out. Indispensable for opening older bottles of wine!!
