Good safety feature
Good quality item, some reviewers have been saying their dogs tore the strap loose. I am using these straps on my 60# labrador and my 50# catahoula hound, and neither of them have been able to use their hulk strength to rip these apart. Buckle fits perfectly in my F150 as well as in my husband's jeep. I just put my dogs in their harnesses, buckle the strap in my truck, and attach the strap to the hooks on their harnesses. I feel much safer taking them on the road knowing that they won't be thrown around if an accident were to happen. Also it helps keep them corralled and out of the way, especially my lab, who loves to climb up on the front arm rest, distracting the driver. My only complaint is that these straps only shorten so much. I wish I could shorten them even further so I could keep both dogs on separate sides of the vehicle. With the straps so long, it allows them too much movement. They like to walk around on the seat and cross over each other, and tangle their straps. It's also happened a few times when they're moving around that they step on the buckle release. I love the idea of this product, just think it needs some work.

Perfect length, fits any seat belt!
I bought this because my pup hates being in her travel crate. All that moving around in her crate makes her car sick. Before this I used to tie her leash to the seat belt but that wasn't very secure and she would still find a way to climb on me while I am trying to shift gears when driving.I didn't think this thing would be worth because the price was so low, but since it was so low i decided to give it a try. Glad I did because it's perfect! So far it snaps into a VW, Subaru, Honda, Toyota and PT Cruiser. I am guessing it will snap into any make/model car. It's long, about 2 feet in length and shortens to 1 foot.1 foot keeps her comfortably seated in the front seat and is not long enough for her to reach my lap or the shifting knob. 2 feet is perfect for the back seat since it allows her to move around the back seat a little more freely.I snap her into her harness and not the collar since I often break hard when driving and the collar might pull too much at the neck.It was put to the test and it worked perfect and kept her securely in her seat. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to keep their pet safe and secure while driving... plus, you can't beat the price!

I hope it holds
This looks like any basic safety belt for dogs. For the most part, it will do the trick and not allow out dog to wander around the car. The clip that attaches to her harness isn't heavy duty, though, and I'm a little concerned that, if we were to be in an accident, her 60 pounds will break this clip in an instant. I hope I never have to find out. Also, I have another clip for another dog that is angled at the latch so that the dog can't step on the button and accidentally unbuckle herself. I love that design, but couldn't find one like it. This will do.

It works, not the quality I would expect
3 stars because it works, so far. My advice? Quality hardware is easy to find. Stiching? Easy to find. Knots? Ask any climber at a local climbing gym. Thought I'd try a pre-built harness... Time to make my own. But it's limited to medium dogs. Large puppy, too loose. Average medium dog, almost too short. It works, limits my 14 month old Golden movement. With any form of bed in the back seat or pad and it's too short. Universal fit to car seatbelt? Wrong. How middle of the road can a 2000 Honda Civic be? One of the most sought after cars to date. The seatbelt clip only fit the middle back seat. If I needed to have my dog behind one of the front seats? No such luck. The nylon strap/webbing? It feels old, is crumbly as old straps get, frayed edges. It has the crystaling look of aged nylon web. As a climber observant of my gear, quality and age, I don't trust it in any form of frontal or rear impact. For the pennies difference in cost between tubular vs flat webbing, given the strength differences, I'm surprised to see older flat webbing. I'll be pulling it apart, reconstructing it with trusty tubular. The sewing? Not rocket science, been doing it for years. Even a water knot would be an improvement.I contacted the seller with my questions and didn't receive so much as a "thank you". No response concerns me.

Want him comfy but safe!
This snaps into my seat belt holder fine. I drive a 2002 Ford Focus Wagon. I'm still working on getting the length adjustment correct for my puppy who is 16 months..a mini schnauzer..8-9 lbs. This will keep him safer in case of brake slam on or accident.I worry his face could still hit the dash, so I will try adjusting shorter, if it will go that short and he is still comfortable.Neither high nor low end item. All in all, a good purchase. Feel better with this on him.I got this as a Prime add on. Good deal for me, safer for my dog!.....UPDATE OCTOBER 2015...This still works perfectly, and we love it.I feel comforted knowing my Dog is secure. He can stand at the window with it down let his face blow in the wind, & I know he wont be able to jump or fall out.Belting him in as well as myself is automatic for us now.Wouldnt be without it!

Wouldn't Leave without It.
This little gaget is so awesome! I got it to contain my (20 lb) Rat Terrier on car trips, or well, trips to anywhere that I take him. It has made driving so much more pleasant. Prior to the Safety Leads Seat Belt, my Rattie would always want to wonder around my car or get in my lap. Both of these things distracted me. Now I don't have this issue. The Safety Leads Seat Belt easily snaps into the existing seat belt buckle in your car. The other end of it has a little clip, just like a leash does. This Safety Leads Seat Belt will work with any harness that has a loop on the back of it. In fact, I purchased the corresponding harness, but found myself using a harness that I previously owned more often.Bonus!: After many months of use, my Rattie has now learned that he is to lay on the back seat of my car whenever we go anywhere. Therefore, sometimes I don't even hook him up, as he has become so well behaved. However, on long drives I still use it because it does provide a level of safety for my beloved Rattie.

Not siutable for all cars
Purchased this lead for my car which is a 2014 Kia Picanto,it did not fit but it did fit my husbands car which is 5 years old. It is a good product at a very reasonable price but be aware that it may not fit your car seat belt holder.
