the little heater that could!
I got this in April and have just been more and more impressed as its slowly growing colder. I can heat my tiny studio flat up in no time with it on 1000w then I switch to 450w mode and leave on about 3 on the thermostat keeps it a perfect room temp and I don't have to worry about the electricity! Compared to the tiny fan based blower heater that was 2000 watts this puts out more heat, it emanates from all around heating the entire space at once, where as those blower heaters are directional, I also hate how they dry out the air so much.. It is just amazing as it uses only 450 yet seems to put out more heat.. It also fits perfectly underneath my desk which disperses the heat out around my legs and the rest of the room.. It also takes up a very small amount of floor space as I chose the slimmest version for my tiny little house.. Being quite tall it actually comes up above the side of the bed next to me, so if you put it next to you when in bed, its like a hot water bottle just outside of your bed.. It is right next to you this way and put on a low thermo setting like.. 2 or 1.5.. It is very useful for the very cold nights, you know it will never reach a really uncomfortable level. It is very nice having it next to you in bed, again would be impossible with a blower heater as you might set yourself on fire!! And the noise! This is silent! Again very cool that you can sleep with that on and feel safe and its silent.. I really can go on and on about this, you can put one light item of clothing on the metal parts, do not cover the grill air holes thing.. Just to make a t shirt nice and toasty.. Only for a few minutes and do not quote me on that.. I just mean you could put stuff up against it and its not gonna burn like many other heaters would... TBH I have been completely converted to this type of heater, I can never see myself ever needing another sort. They are just superior and very effective, safer and directional, very versatile.. I could buy another one still taking up very little space and have it on the other side of my little house, making an entire central heating system still only taking up the same watts as that 2000w blowers heater!! But with the function to be set at 450w each and a thermostat?? Really its amazing how much money I am saving on electricity! you could have one of these in every room of your house to use only when in that room and save on gas of central heating probably.. Great little auto set and forget heating, takes up very little space! LOVE IT!!

Exactly what I wanted
It works very efficiently, and very quickly (within about 20 minutes) heated up my 12 feet x 16 feet living room on the 2000W setting. I then turned it down to the lowest setting (500W) and the thermostat continued to keep the room at a comfortable temperature for hours on end. Originally I bought this Oypla Radiator for a smaller, ground floor single storey room with three external walls (one of which faces north) which is always much colder than the rest of our centrally heated house. I wanted it to boost the temperature when I was working in this room. However, this Oypla radiator arrived just 2 days before my 5 year old(!) central heating failed, and I was over the moon when I discovered just how effective it was in heating our larger living room! It works without any of the noise of a fan heater, and none of the unpleasant stuffiness that these fan heaters create. I also find it surprisingly economical to run. I can't fault it. And now, for the second time in two weeks our central heating has failed. This Oypla radiator has rescued us yet again. It does what it's supposed to do ... BRILLIANTLY. Thank you Oypla.

Nice and warm
I have no issue with the product. The issue I had was that I ordered 2 radiators. One was delivered yesterday and was left outside my property (21/11/2025) without an explanation about the second one which was delivered today (22/11/2025). The radiator is working perfectly and I am happy with it for now.

Great electric heater, warming up fast, suitable for any rooms at my flat and definitely it safes me money. I really love the slight grey colour, it looks very stylish, too. Completely satisfied, I highly recommend it.

Broken right after the guarantee expired…
Worked well until just a few months after its warranty expired! A radiator should last more than 15 months. Terrible product & dismissive customer service - try another brand.

Used them to heat our whole house
We have no gas in our house so the radiators are all electric and cost a fortune to run. I bought one of these from Argos and it was ok so I bought 4 more from Amazon for even cheaper. These ones kick out even more heat than the one from Argos at the same power output. One of these easily heats my living room where an electric fan heater failed. I have it on the half setting so it takes a little longer to heat up (about 5 mins). When it's hot it switches off so it uses no power but stays hot and kicks out heat for about an hour. Then with the thermostat control it simply heats up automatically again until it's back to temp. So for an hours heat it's only drawing power for 5 minutes give or take. I've heard people say there is noise with these but the only thing I've heard from all 5 is the small click when the thermostat clicks on. The power cable is ample and the radiator is small enough that I've fit one under my desk in my office. It comes in a box and you have to fit the wheels yourself, this took about 1 minute and you need no tools at all. My eight year old put the wheels on one for me. The thermostat is a simple dial with numbers 0-10. When you like the temp your room is at you simply turn the dial until it clicks off. Same as a thermostat on the wall. The radiator is medium weight, again my 8 year old can lift it with no problems, and my wife can easily pick it up with one hand using the handle on the side, but it's on wheels anyway so no problem there. These rads have saved us a fortune. They are a light grey in colour although they may look white in the picture. We solely used these rads to heat our house through a British winter. Very pleased with them. Summary : cheap, efficient, small, economical. Excellent buy.
