Handsome Chair
First let me say that I like this chair a lot, I've always been a fan of director's chairs and this one's pretty nice. It's not as nice as one I used to have where the back rest was larger and actually swiveled, but oh well, that was a long time ago. I plan on using this chair as an occasional chair only in my studio apartment, and for that purpose it will be ideal. It's substantial and heavier than I thought it would be. The color of the wood seems true to the product photo, but the red canvas seating and back are pretty bright! I still like it though...What I'd like to tell you though is my experience with it straight out of the box. It was easy to set up the seat and back pieces, but I couldn't get the braces to lock in flat. Not possessing great upper body strength, I tried different approaches without success. I ended up using my rubber coated hammer handle, standing and pushing down with my whole weight on the braces. I knicked my pinky the first time, and now I have a bruise, so be careful if you have to use this method. The frame had several little knicks and mysterious tiny holes here and there, so I used a furniture scratch repair marker to disguise those. The sliders on the feet weren't to my liking as well, so I unscrewed them and replaced them with cup sliders for carpet use.All in all this is a great chair, it just needed a tweaking...

Great quality !!!
Love this chair for my clients needing a makeup service. It is definitely a way to amp up your makeup services and make a client feel like they are in a professional space.

Feels Shaky
My intended use has for dangling feet into our hot tub while sitting outside.Height is perfect for this. However, it feels a little unstable to me. Maybe when I get used to it it will be better.Very nice. There are two hinges on the legs, maybe to fold down to store the chair. I had to use a rubber mallet to force them into a locked position. My 180 pounds was not sufficient when my entire weight was supported by my hands. Several raps with the mallet locked them. Folding up? I don’t think so.

Watch out! Arms break off!
Bought a bunch of these a few years ago. They have been great and very sturdy. Bought 2 more recently and they are not the same quality. Only used them a couple of times and one of the arms broke off! The gotcha is that that if you don't discover the issues before you dispose of the packaging then it is a serious pain to return it, even it's possible to return just one. I glued and screwed the arm back on. Will see if that works...

Nice chair - initial setup: thank goodness for WD40!
Nice study chair. Good seat height for tall people. Comfortable wide seat.Nice black finish - hope it holds up outside and without chipping.Initial setup: could not get the hinges to fold down since the new seat canvas was too tight. Sprayed hinge with WD40 and finally able to straighten the hinge. Note - protect hand with scrap fabric since hinges will [painfully] pinch. Will not attempt to fold up for storage until the seat canvas has stretched a bit...Nit - may need to find cushion for the arm rests; zero contour...

Nice chair. Easy assembly.
So, I read the reviews. I was ready with a husband (and two supervisor cats) that could straighten out the hinges. Honestly, he looked at it for a couple seconds, said he doesn't need any tools for this. He flipped the chair on its back, put his legs/knees inside the frame to put some pressure on it (mainly to keep it in place), then pulled the hinges smoothly toward himself. My jaw dropped. The cats and I cheered. Anyways, it has non slip pads on the bottom of the legs and if you try to push straight down, it won't work.

Awesome Quality
The media could not be loaded. I’m in love with this chair! I was a bit skeptical when purchasing but by far it has exceeded my expectations.I did have trouble putting it together and the metal bars that hold the legs together was definitely hard to push down, but with the help of my brother, he managed to push it down by using his shoe to press down on the metal part that way he doesn’t hurt himself. But other than that I tested out the durability by sitting on it and it held me up very well. No wobbling or anything.I’m 5’3 and the chair is just slightly a few inches from shoulder height. There is A TON of seating room if you have wide hips like me!!😅 but all in all this was a great purchase, I can’t wait to record my podcast with this chair!

Very easy to set up and it works
I have been looking for a chair for my work bench that was not too heavy to move around - this fit the bill. When not needed it also with little effort can be made to take less space

Here's how to push the hinge down into place...
Love the chair, especially the colour of the navy back and seat! Haven't bolted on the footrests yet. I have a bar height table --and it has a very strong footrest of steel. So we can put our feet up on that cross-bar.Don't hurt your bare hands trying to push down the hinge on the chair. I placed my foot, wearing a rubber-soled slipper, on the hinge and gently but firmly pushed down with just enough pressure to move the hinge easily down into locked position. Can't wait for warm weather!

they look good
The metal brackets that hold the chair, open a stiff and sharp. If you try to use your hands to latch them, you will hurt yourself. I need to use a block of wood to push them into place.

Excellent in set MUA chair
I waited two year after purchasing to write a review because I was unsure how this would last over time.I am very impressed! I use this most weekends on set for weddings or photo shoots for hair and makeup and have never had an issue with it. I put my logo on the back rest fabric and it has held up very well.Lots of clients comment on how comfortable it is and sturdy compared to others on set as well.
