Great Ergonomic Fix for My Keyboard – Sturdy and Adjustable!
Although this stand is marketed for laptops, I actually use it for my keyboard—and it’s perfect! My keyboard doesn’t have built-in legs for angling, so this stand was exactly what I needed. I love that it has three adjustable height levels, which lets me customize the slant and height depending on what’s most comfortable for my wrists. It’s super sturdy and doesn’t slide around while I’m typing, which is a huge plus. Compact, simple, and highly effective—definitely recommend it if you need a better ergonomic setup, whether for a keyboard or laptop!

A handy general purpose prop-it-up stand with tons of uses
I'm really pleased with this clever little stand, which I've found out is actually available in two different handy sizes. The larger size is about 5.5 inches long and is great for propping up the back of a laptop on a desk or table, which makes for more ergonomic typing and much cooler operation. The smaller size, at 3.93 inches in length, is just right for smaller jobs like propping up the back of a phone or small tablet for better multimedia viewing - or in my case - for propping up the front of my smaller QRP Ham Radio Sets during field operation to make the front panel display easier to see and the controls easier to access. Some of the lower review scores seem to result from folks unexpectedly getting the smaller size, so make sure to order the size you will find most useful. The Steepy's support arms have been cleverly configured at slightly offset angles so that there are actually SIX ways to side-to-side orient the Steepy depending on the job at hand, 3 different heights x 2 different left to right orientations. Basically, at each of 3 heights, you can twirl the Steepy around 180 degrees left-to-right so that the side-to-side upper support arm either leans slightly towards you, or slightly away from you, which can help improve support depending on your application. For example, contrary to some of the promo pics in the Amazon listing, I have found that when propping up the REAR of a laptop you will most likely want the Steepy oriented so its upper support arm is ANGLED SLIGHTLY FORWARD (not leaning away as shown). That way when you prop your laptop on it, the Steepy will be leaning into the underside of the laptop at a better angle giving more stable support. This orientation change (sloping-forward or sloping-back), is easily handled as you set the Steepy down. For example, when I prop up the FRONT of one of my HAM radios, I flip the Steepy around left to right so its vertical support is leaning slightly AWAY from me (which is leaning INTO the underside of the radio it's supporting). This is a neat feature since one orientation generally works better when propping up the BACK of something like a laptop or tablet, where the other way around seems to work best when when propping up the FRONT. Occasionally, this rule may be reversed if the device has a ridge or slot along its underside that gives the Steepy better grip and stability in the opposite orientation, but this is easily checked since, worst case, you can just quickly flip the Steepy around and check out all SIX orientations and note the one that works best. The Steepy is a fairly simple item, and at first I thought the price was (no pun intended) just a little steep, but the quality metal construction and clever flexible design have made a believer out of me. No doubt, I will still be finding new uses for these handy little stands years from now (long after the devices I am currently using them with have gone to electronic recycle), and that makes them a great value; now, and for years to come!

Tiny but does the job
I'll start with the cons because I didn't read carefully enough and was surprised by the actual size of the device, because the photos make it seem much bigger. Size not withstanding, it works as stated. Cons: 5.5" in length! I have small hands and it isn't as long as my hand, or 1/3 the width of my 16.9" laptop. So I have to very carefully place it in the very center, or my typing on the laptop keyboard will make it wobble. Luckily I bought two... when lined up with a ruler, they work great together. But "so much for using them with separate laptops at the same time-- my other laptop is a 17" Pros: It DOES raise the laptop up for much better air flow. It IS lightweight. It IS small and easily carried. And with careful placement under my big laptops, it does stably raise the laptop. I haven't tried using it as a prop for my tablet yet. Weirdly, I find the highest angle the most stable, or maybe I just found the balance point and sweet spot. Over all I would recommend this riser but the pictures are misleading about the size of the device-- READ the information carefully so that you are not surprised by just how tiny it actually is. Update: I ended up taping the two risers together end to end for my own piece of mind and then noticed that it really resembled a 3-sided scale drafting/architectural ruler.

Item is highly functional...
I bought two. Works well, however occasionally must adjust.

Falls Apart
Definitely not worth the $20 I paid for it. The bumpers came off in short order and the glue I had to attach them again didn't work for long. If the glue the manufacturer uses doesn't work, as you can see from other reviews, we consumers don't have much chance of success. It's a good product idea, but they need to find a way to keep the bumpers on. Inspired by this product, I sometimes use a thick tile coaster or a rolled up sushi mat to the same effect with no parts to fall off.

Just what I needed without the expense.
Love this, I only wanted a small height adjustment and it’s sturdy. Very convenient to transport, hand and wrist placement comfortable. It hit all my bullet points.

Simple and effective!
Needed a stand for my work laptop and had to make sure it didn't take up too much space. Great on-the-go stand and allows for a lot of airflow underneath without being a hassle to carry around.

Works ok, could be wider for more stability.
Not bad, it does what it says. A bit expensive. I’m using it with a laptop, 14”, and it’s decent but not great. A little too narrow, I’d prefer it was wider for more stability.
