Easy to use, great item for artists
Great masking film, I've been using this for a few years now, and recently I've been creating some colourful backgrounds to my marker drawings (see photos). This film has been so handy and easy to use. It cuts really well (you don't need that much pressure, I've cut into the paper before thinking I needed to apply more pressure), and it prevents most media seeping under. I say most because a few times some of my inks/watery media had escaped under some edges, so make sure you buff the area edges really well and the paper isn't absorbent for wet media. It's really easy to see through so you can cut down to size and the grid backing paper is really helpful. It peels back up really easily, though you may still have it pull up weak adhesion media like gel pens and metallic watercolour (not much, easy to go back and reapply). I'll definitely be buying more.

Good for airbrushing
Bought for making stencils for my airbrush. Sticks well and easy to cut, not too thick. Can see well through it. Loads spare. Worth the money and is durable enough to be reused

This film is really useful for watercolour artists too - as well as airbrush users .
Over the years I have probably tried every imaginable method of masking my paintings, ranging from liquid frisket, masking or packing tape, paper masks, water masking and this Frisket film. Much as I dislike spending much money on anything unnecessary this is a product that works. If as a watercolourist you have a large area you want to keep uncoloured and with a precise, complicated edge this does the business. (For example an outline of buildings set against a sky you want to paint in a expressive wet on wet washes that extends the whole width of the painting. Now this line can be easily transferred onto a broad section of this film with the grid allowing you to keep the verticals and horizontals true, cut with a sharp scalpel, and transferred to the paper. ) There are a few of caveats for the watercolourist. Test it out on your paper first - as a rule of thumb if the paper is too soft sized to take liquid frisket this film will probably damage your paper too. The more heavily textured kinds of cold pressed or rough paper will need the film edge sealed with a line of liquid mask to get a clean edge. I turn the paper upside down to work on the unmasked area as that way it is less messy and you can use a narrower- economical- band of mask. Tiny detached areas may be more easily done with a dab of liquid frisket rather than film and I would recommend drawing out your cutting line with a pigment liner rather than pencil as wetted graphite can run and drip onto your painting. This said, I find this film indispensable for certain paintings and is something I like to have on hand for some of my landscapes and cityscapes. This is not just a product for artists using airbrushes but can be a really useful for watercolour painters too.

Excellent masking sheets
8 large sheets per pack covers most projects with some to spare. Flat sheets are much easier to work with than rolls & this is reflected in the relatively high price. Easy to peel-off backing, stays in place during use, cuts well even with small shapes, peels away cleanly after use & creates fine straight lines using spray paint on smooth surfaces. Textured surfaces and/or brushed paint may need touch-up after usage. Can leave sticky residue behind on workpieces, especially if heat applied. Second purchase now - no doubt won't be the last.

Over priced
Cheaper alternatives work better. Very over priced product and can pull paint off if you are not careful

Pretty good stuff
I’ve never tried this stuff before and I like to airbrush. It’s low tack but keeps the paint out fairly well and is easy to cut. I just traced parts of my painting onto tracing paper then transferred that to the film. Will be using again
