Good bit of kit.
Fitted this to my basic Webber. After drilling a suitable hole it was very easy to fit. It has proven durable and reasonably accurate on temperatures. Overall pretty pleased with it.

It works
It looks really good but I didn’t need an 11mm drill bit, as one reviewer suggested, that would have sunk the item down past the spacer/collar and placed the back of the unit against the bbq lid.That wouldn’t have seemed right. It sits up about 5mm with what I think ended up being a 9mm bit, just the size of the thread.. Just be careful not to drill too big.Otherwise, excellent and a bit snazzy with all the bright colours,

Does help to indicate required temperature
Relatively easy to instal on my Weber Q. Bit of masking tape and drill with size 10 bit. Indicates temp ok but the difficulty I find (and this is not a fault of the thermometer) is maintaining the required temp. Weber advise to grill with the lid down but then the temp just keeps going up so I have to open the lid to let temp come down to desired level.Item is well worth the money!

Really good size to read temperatures
Easy to fit just drill the correct size hole in the BBQ Lid and watch the temperature rise inside! My Gas BBQ did not have one fitted< So installed this and was easy to monitor while adjusting the gas burners..

Good quality, good value
Bought this for my Weber, I would not consider paying Weber's price. This one is mid priced but robust and looks good. Some poor reviews for the cheaper options so I think this one is good value. Used almost daily and working well.

Excellent Upgrade Option
Excellent and good value. Buy yourself a cheaper but good BBQ and then upgrade it using this for a fraction of the cost.I’ve been asked by others what drill bit size do you need. The answer is 11. (SSH 11 if that means anything) it’s a fair chunky sized drill bit. I installed this on my large kettle bbq that I brought from Wilkinson’s. Does the same as a Weber at a fraction of the price. - if you buy the same then make sure you make a small pilot hole before using the drill bit.Thanks for reading!!

Beware - it does not fit the Big Green Egg
It did not fit the large Big Green Egg we purchased it for so will be returning it. The detailed description of the product said it was good for it. Otherwise it arrived promptly and looks like a good of quality product.
