For years I've owned a battery operated "de-piller" but it doesn't even compare to this gadget! What a difference. I can de-pill an area with a couple swipes instead of going over and over and over the designated area of cloth again and again. What a wonderful tool. I did a whole blanket, both sides, in a half hour and the total amount of pills removed was astonishing. And too, I have a small hand. The grip area fits my palm easily. Pill debris removal from the shaving end is easy and the tool is very light weight. GREAT little gadget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Works as expected, especially compared to an electric fabric shaver (fabric shaver was “ok”…was probably better suited to clothes). I have this couch that is only 1.5 years old with 2 adults and a dog and pills so bad! I was able to do this in minutes! Very happy. I would buy this multiple times to keep my couch tidy if needed, but seems sturdy enough to last through several couch shaves and a blanket or two before I wouldn’t even contemplate getting another! I like the size compared to an electric shaver too, able to cover so much surface area quickly! Recommend to anyone with a pilled up surface that needs to be made tidier!

I am very happy I bought this item. It makes the sweater look so much better. I gave it 4 stars, because, although it takes the pills off, the abrasive edge can pull up the nap of some sweaters to make them fuzzy. Do a test in an inconspicuous place first. Also, the instructions don’t say that you release the blade by pushing down on the top of the black button.

Did a wonderful job on my linen sofa. Highly recommend.

Bought this on a recommendation from my mom who heard me griping about using my small handheld battery operated shaver on blankets that were pilling badly in the wash. She gushed over how amazing this product was and how much faster it worked than the average battery operated shavers. Since it seems all clothing is made from polyester these days, and good quality is a thing of the past, I’m constantly shaving and lint rolling balls of fuzz from clothes and blankets. So I was excited to have a faster way to do it.Well, this product sure did disappoint. It caused more problems than a battery operated shaver because as balls attach to the thin side, they quickly fall off again, thus re-sticking to your clothes and creating MORE WORK FOR YOU! To prevent this you have to keep stopping to try and remove the smallest amount of buildup on the thin edge, which again, is MORE time consuming than traditional shavers. So I tried just using the lint brush edge, but same goes for this. It does work great AT FIRST, but as soon as there is a layer of lint attached to the head, it starts leaving some of that lint behind when you touch the head to a new spot to clear a line of lint from your item.To make things worse, you need to use the thin edge “blade” to clean the lint brush of all lint. And be prepared to do this several times in the course of cleaning just ONE item. In doing so, I quickly noticed the sandpaper-like material that covered the thin edge was already starting to wear off! And I had only used it for less than one day!I’ve now used this “medium” width thin edge a handful of times and— as the picture shows— the black covering that is meant to catch the pilling is almost completely worn off. Talk about poor quality ... and the reason for my 3 star rating. I’d like to rate it less cause it’s so time consuming to use, but when it does work, it removes lint well. But who has time to waste doing it the old fashion way when u can do it in half the time and with a lot less headaches using a better product than this? I know I surely don’t.

Due to a teenager, toddler, large dog, and myself, the couch covers I bought last year had seen better days. Although they held up better than I had expected, monthly washing and daily sitting had caused ugly little pills all over the material. The covers were so ugly that I was considering replacing them, but at $75 a panel, I couldn't justify the expense without at least trying to fix the problem.My expectations were really low because many de-pilling tools, including this one, tend to have bad reviews. However, I was desperate to save my sofa covers (and my money), and I figured the worst-case scenario was that the tool would tear the covers, and I would have to replace them after all.Let me tell you, the difference in my couch is nothing short of miraculous! I included before and after pictures because I just can't believe the difference. It took about 15 minutes to clean off one section. Ironically, now I can tell it's time to wash them again because I can see stains that I didn't know were there, haha.

I love this thing! I’m so impressed with it. It only takes seconds and does a fabulous job without tearing up the knitwear. My daughter just bought this sweater but didn’t know to turn the sweater inside out before putting it in the washer and to only have it in the dryer for a few minutes before laying it out to dry. The pilling was daunting to deal with by hand. So I bought this Gleener. In less than 5 minutes the sweater is good to go again. The lint catcher on the other end is the finishing touch and perfect. I had already done the front and was so happy with it that I paused to take a picture of the back so you can see before and after.

It's awesome!!! I love the different attachments for different fabrics. It's very effective and easy to use.
