It’s not super stiff or soft but it’s a medium weight. I had no issues with yarn splitting and it was easy to use when winding balls from the skein.

I stocked up on a lot of this yarn for a big project (blanket) for a friend request! It crochet'ed smooth and didnt snap or tangle. The color was nicer than I had expected it to be. Will continue to order through amazon for my yarn for future projects!

The turqua color is very pretty. I just got it so haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks fine. I have used a lot of red heart yarn and it has always been easy to work with. Sewing afghan pieces together is easy to do.
