How’s this taste as tea? Knudsen’s brand seems to have discontinued their mulling spice (cinnamon, cloves, ginger root, orange & lemon peel).

Very mildly flavored. Can hardly detect a spice at all. Doesn’t work for mulled wine.

How many packets of the spice mixture do you add to a bottle of red wind?

I make it one cup at a time and use one bag. I never made a whole bottle.

What is the best red wine to use with this?

Any wine you like! I looked online when I bought my Gluhwein mix- everyone has a different opinion. White or red - dry to sweet. I’ve tried several. I even put it in apple cider. It was great in all if it!

Can this be used for brewing beer?

My opinion is that it could "flavor" beer (assuming that you wanted beer that flavor). It probably doesn't contain enough sugars to influence any fermentation reactions.

Makes Gluhwein easily.

Quite easy to use and what results really does taste like genuine Gluhwein. I added a little bit of sugar to counteract some bitterness but that was an easy adjustment to make.

You cab probably get this in Germany for 2€ at the discounter

I do acknowledge it is described below in the description but I am finding this offer very misleading. It's literally a package of teabags that you could probably buy in Germany for 2 or 3€ at Aldi or Lidl. It's by Mesmer, a masdive German tea production company . No idea why it says "Helen's own"? Is that supposed to pretend Helen made this on her own? I regelret that I paid 10£ for this.
