Quality product
Great single board computer. Added cooling mod and has been running overclocked for 2 years now.

Good faster Pi alternative with extra benefits to be a small fileserver/log store server
Got the 16GB version and it was everything I hoped it to be. I didn't need wireless for this particular project and I added an 256G NVMe drive and use it for running docker containers for a network monitoring project. It's very nice and compact and runs Ubuntu 22.04 well and haven't had issues installing any Ubuntu arm64/armhf packages on it. This runs very cool when I added the all-in-one heatsink cooler case I ordered at the same time. So far after 2 weeks of continuous duty I'm adding more services to it and it keeps up with the load.

Weird but overall works well
Works very well for the price. I can't say it's been smooth sailing entirely though. The OS has wiped itself a few times and I'm still not sure why. It happened twice on its own, so I don't think it was my fault. Speaking of the OS support, it has quite a few distros to choose from, but the support of each varies wildly. Sometimes the Orange-Pi website has been down entirely and I couldn't get the link to the image (even though it's just hosted on Google Drive LOL). It's got decent support from outside its manufacturers, but some of the drivers to get the GPU supported through FFmpeg were really hard to find! I don't know if this has been resolved, but it was one of the main reasons I wanted to get this one over others and it seems as though the driver that worked with it wasn't even officially made by the Orange-Pi group either. I'd say this: it's good for the price and can do quite a lot, but just know you might be in for some work to get things smooth sailing. You might already be doing that though anyways cause you're buying a single chip computer!

Works great as a webserver
I have used this now for a couple years as a webserver running multiple websites and it always handled them great. Multiple wordpress sites even.

Fantastic Alternative!
My legit ONLY complaint is how long it takes the standard Linux libraries to update on these things because their servers are located outside of my country, in China. Otherwise these are an absolutely stellar replacement for Thin-clients, Media centers, emulator box, IoT, whatever you want! The world is your oyster and this is the pearl!

It's a good machine, but not for Home Assistant
It's a good machine and have interesting features like RAM and processor, the main problem is that if you are trying to use it for IoT and mainly for Home Assistant, it's a real problem that you cannot work easily due to the architecture of the Orange Pi. You only can use a Containarized version of Home Assistant, but it makes impossible the use of Add ons to make integrations like auto backup or access remotely with Cloudflare. It has to be done by the container like Docker and requires more challenges if it is possible to do.
