The Knife blades are high quality Damascus steel (maybe) and should be cared for as such. Google how to care for Damascus knives. I would recommend not placing them in a dishwasher. The handles are easy on the grip affording exceptional control. The knives are very well balanced making them easy to use. The wood block is high quality in design and well thought out for ergonomics. The special slicing blades are exposed for easy identification and accessibility. The only downside it the sharpening rod looks cheesy compared to the high quality of the rest of the set but it is perfectly functional. I also purchased a 4 stage pull thru knife sharpener enabling me to obtain a perfect edge every time. I could never get the knack of using a sharpening rod to achieve the same results. As a side note I'm not sure if the knife blades are truly Damascus or High quality steel with a pseudo pattern to make it appear as Damascus. It doesn't really matter because they work great. Unfortunately I returned the set only because the vertical dimension is too high and would not clear my upper cabinets above our countertop. As it turns out, we are in a condo and the typical standard kitchen dimensions are on the short side. You shouldn't have a problem with a full size kitchen.

Very nice looking set of knives . The magnets on the block are very strong and hold the large knives very securely. The extra slots are a nice idea also. I haven't used all of the knives yet but the few I have tried are very sharp. Very happy with my purchase so far .

The shipping was really fast and it was well packaged.It has all the pieces.The wooden block while not too wide, has a lots of space in it (the last pictures shows my old knives set in red along with the new ones and there is still some space left for more) the magnetic sides work just as described no issues so farThe knives are very sharp out of the box so be careful when taking them out.They have a bit of weight to them.The handle feels greatThere is a pretty heaven knives sharpener that I haven’t use yetThey are really easy to cleanSo far no complaints, amazing quality and they look greatWell worth the money!!
