Long battery, great brush
I've had this since 2017 and love it. The buttons are just now starting to get so they don't press as easily, so I'm considering a replacement soon, but the 4 years was worth it, in my opinion (and my dentist's; I'm no longer being told I don't brush well enough). I do have to kind of hold my mouth open and lean over the sink while I brush, otherwise I start gagging from bubbles or whatever because I have a really bag gag reflex (and I use a non-foaming toothpaste), so the toothpaste/hard water running down the handle of the brush is part of why the buttons are starting to go. I do wipe it down after every use, and occasionally take a q-tip with vinegar around the buttons to try to dissolve some of the minerals. My mom says what she does is keep her mouth closed, but pause the brush mid cycle to spit. Just a comment, since I've seen reviews complaining about it being hard to brush because you can't take the brush out of your mouth while it's on (and don't forget to put it in your mouth before turning it on, or you'll have toothpaste everywhere!) The battery usually lasts me about 2 weeks or so, and is still going strong 4 years later. Even my husband's battery is doing well, and it occasionally goes months without use (draining naturally) when he's deployed. I would suggest getting a version with the charging case though, and if I replace mine, that's what I intend to do. We went on a short trip once where I didn't bring the charger, but the flight was bumpy enough I guess the toothbrush thought it was being picked up so the lights were coming on or something...not entirely sure, but it was fully charged when we left and completely dead when we landed. Luckily my husband had the charging case. It takes forever to do a full charge, but it works well in a pinch. I really like the charging glass it comes with though, it's a nice looking toothbrush holder and fits nicely on our mirror. I actually haven't really used the Bluetooth part much, because the phone I had when I got it wasn't compatible and I forgot about it when I got the new phone. I do remember using it with my tablet some at the beginning though, and it had some cool features, was just inconvenient on the tablet. But if you aren't going to use the Bluetooth, there may be some cheaper models that would be more worthwhile.

An Amazing Toothbrush!
I’ve toggled between manual toothbrush and electric toothbrushes for a decent amount of time however, I recently settled on the Philips One toothbrush. It was a nice step up from a manual toothbrush but this one… blows it out of the water! I recently purchased this toothbrush and honestly, I don’t know how/why I’ve gone so long without investing in a tool that I’ll use daily and has such a substantial effect on my quality of life. Pros: The vibrations are STRONG! They don’t hurt or anything but, they definitely make cheaper alternatives feel like a child’s toy. The toothbrush is rechargeable, no more fumbling through junk drawers scavenging two AA’s in an attempt to brush your teeth. There are about 4/5 different settings and some even utilize there own specific brush heads. There is a light around the base of the handle that lights up to inform you when/if you’re brushing too hard. With this toothbrush there is no need to vigorously scrub your teeth, just place it over your teeth and let this bad boy do all the work! You know that feeling when you leave the dentist after a cleaning and you keep rubbing your tongue along your teeth because they’re so polished and smooth? While not quite a replica of that feeling, this toothbrush can definitely come close to recreating that feeling daily! Cons: While not a major concern for me, I feel it’ll be benefited to share the fact that this bad boy can be a little loud. It is to be expected with a toothbrush this powerful so I don’t knock them for it but, I wanted to at least mention it. If you make the mistaking of wetting your brush head and turning on the toothbrush before it is in your mouth, expect a mess. The strength of this toothbrush will result in a mirror splattered with enough toothpaste to put a frat house bathroom to shame. That’s an exaggeration but, it will get everywhere if you turn it on before it’s in your mouth. Overall: This toothbrush is phenomenal! If you’re on the fence but can swing it, I say go for it, you’re investing in yourself. If this price point is too steep for you, definitely check out some less expensive electric toothbrushes, they still outperform manual ones. You teeth will thank you.

Advanced and Effective Electric Toothbrush 🖤

Very impressed! Update: Now with great customer warranty service!
Very nice product despite it having some gimmicky features. Excellent clean and easy to use; that being said, it has way too many different modes and an unnecessary light on the bottom of it. Accessories are readily available for reasonable prices and the charging system is very good. I cannot tell the difference between the modes and will never use them. However, the 3 speed control is very nice and easy to use. Philips nailed this toothbrush out of the park so I will not deduct any stars for all the extra "features". Unless you are upgrading from some ultra-premium electric toothbrush, you will be running your tongue along your teeth for hours after each brushing admiring how clean they are. Update: about exactly 7 months after ordering mine stopped working. Called Philips late on a Monday and got a replacement on Thursday! Great customer service, was only a few minutes of hold time and they kept me informed of the replacement status via email the whole time.

Purchase and enjoy the benefits!
This was a replacement for the one that I purchased from my dentist a decade ago but I damaged it…which is not easy to do. This is an excellent product! My dentist always compliments me on how healthy my gums are and my teeth cleaning takes about 20 minutes because of low tartar, etc. It’s this tooth brush and daily flossing!! The proof is that I can’t use toothpaste of any kind. It’s worth every penny. Your dentist will “hate” you because you will not need their expensive services 😁. Also excellent investment if you can’t afford a dentist.

Great toothbrush, while it functions
This unit is amazing, while it actually functions. This is the third diamond care unit I have personally owned, and also the third unit to cease functioning (each unit only lasting a year or less). The first unit's metal shaft (where the toothbrush head attaches) became loose and started making a loud buzzing sound, which progressively got worse until the brush no longer pulsated. It had never been dropped, and I had always been very careful with how I handled it. I contacted Phillips in order to receive a replacement, as the unit was still within the 2-year warranty, and was informed that I would need to return my current brush to them before they would ship out a replacement. I purchased a cheap battery operated toothbrush to use in the meantime and received a replacement diamond care in about 1.5 weeks. The replacement arrived and functioned for about a year. Once again, the exact same problem happened. Mind you, this time I was even more careful with with the brush. At this point, I was incredibly annoyed by the quality of this product. I'm not one of those people that expect to purchase a device and expect it to last forever, but at around $170, I DO expect it to last for longer than a year. Around this time, I noticed that Phillips released a newer version of the brush with smart features and presumed that perhaps they worked out some of the bugs. Apprehensively, I opted to purchase this new model rather than go through Phillips for another replacement of the same apparent dud. I purchased this smart edition (9300 series) on January 31, 2018. Today it is August 15, 2018 and I already began having the exact same issue with this unit about a week ago. Once again, I contacted Phillips to have it replaced and was told that I would need to send the unit in prior to receiving a replacement. I will use this replacement, whenever I actually receive it, until it inevitably ceases to function, but I will never purchase another product from Phillips. Between the terrible quality of their products, and the fact that they make you send in the malfunctioning devices prior to receiving replacement, it is very frustrating. These units still function as ordinary toothbrushes when they aren't turned on. I shouldn't have to go out and purchase a replacement brush while waiting on a replacement, especially after having spent almost $400 in less than 3 years' time. Unbelievable.

Better than most but overly hyped and not a mature product yet.
Let me start by summarizing: - I like it as it does a good brushing job, better than most. - It has a lot of frills, some overly hyped and not essential - Low bang for the buck - Glitchy software - Be ready to forego some privacy. - Bulky for travel but USB chargeable and most items are well contained in a single box In detail: The SOFTWARE ** (TWO-AND-A-HALF STARS is about right) The software is a bit overbearing and not everyone wants to deal with it. It would be a turn off for my wife, for example. At the same time, if you are up to using it, it does impose some discipline by keeping statistics on you - stats that you might not like sharing with Philips... If you use it, you will notice that: - it trains you to not use a lot of pressure and nicely warns you when you do. - forces you to spend enough time on all quadrants of your mouth. - discourages you from moving the toothbrush too much: you shouldn't do that with vibrating toothbrushes. On the negative side, - It is glitchy and will often crash and disappear from your screen or not start up normally when the toothbrush fires up. This tends to skew the statistics to the bad side since the part of the app that does not complete is where it asks you if you rinsed/flossed/scraped your tongue. - While it is advertised as knowing the position of the toothbrush, this is not accurate. It often fails, as a matter of fact. It simply knows the angle at which the toothbrush is held (up/down/horizontal). If you are using it on the sector of your mouth the software expects you to, it will - most of the time - know what you are brushing and change the pictured whiteness of your teeth no the screen accordingly. But, even then, it will sometimes fail. For example, if you tilt your head down (so as to allow the plentiful foam to overflow out and into the sink), the position recognition will fail. And, if you decide to brush the chewing surface of your molars, it will not record any brushing; it appears the creators did not care for that surface at all! Errors like these (frequently encountered) will often result in the software indicating that you did not brush enough. Even with all this said, the software offers some value and I truly think it helps improve brushing habits. The HARDWARE - ***** (5 stars) I think the brush works flawlessly - at least for the 3 months that I have owned it. No glitches, no breakdowns, plenty of battery life. The brushes are great although I cannot talk about the different tasks they are meant to perform (gum care, whitening, etc). The software suggests it keeps track of their usage and I see it tries to promote replacement at some intervals. I have not owned the brush long enough to know if the intervals make sense vis a vis the wear and tear of the bristles. PRACTICALITY **** (4 STARS) The packaging (case/charging/self contained handle and brushes) is a good idea for traveling. But the box is bulky and on the heavy side. And only two of the four brushes fit inside. A quick look convinces me that they can do better with the next iteration and make space for all brushes. Weight would be hard to reduce, I would think. The box with the handle, brushes, and cable weighs 13oz - very close to a pound. That is a lot! But the ability to charge with a USB cable from your laptop means that you do not have to carry an extra charger. Battery lifetime is plenty for 3 daily brushes for a week per my experience (maybe more but I have not tried that). All in all is a good but overpriced product with several glitches and imperfections that will get ironed out in future versions. The price is nearly prohibitive and, given the shortcomings, probably a bit too high.

Does a great job for teeth and gum health
My old electric toothbrush finally failed, and I purchased this product. In the past, I would rush through brushing my teeth, but with this product combined with the phone app, I can consistently do a better job brushing my teeth. When I am in a hurry, sometimes I still brush without using the app to get done more quickly, to the detriment of my oral health, but most of the time I use the app. The app provides a disciplined way to brush the teeth and get it right. It lets you know when the brush is held in the wrong angle and when to move on to different teeth and how long to spend with different teeth. It is a great way to brush teeth correctly, every time. There are good illustrations in the app that show exactly what to do and how much time you have left with different teeth. Aside from that, the toothbrush is a great product that leaves my teeth clean and refreshed.
