Replacement CPU Cooling Fan for HP Elitedesk 800 G4 G5 Elitedesk 705 G4 G5, ProDesk 400 G4 G5 G6 405 G4 G5 & ProDesk 600 G4 G5 Series Mini Desktop P/N: L19561-001 FL3B

I have a 705 g4 mini. The original fan's foam started to crumble, and then the bearing lost lubrication and overheated. This replacement fits perfectly, and the foam is fresh. Runs quietly and effectively. It did come in a plastic bag and Amazon's standard white/blue bubble wrap envelope as others reported, but there was no damage to the unit I received.

Purchased this replacement fan for my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini since the original fan was making noticeable noise (even after cleaning). Unlike the older HP mini PCs, the newer EliteDesk and ProDesk fans run continuously at "idle" RPM but never shut off except when machine is in sleep/off. The fans are small and wear out after a few years' of use. I ordered this replacement thinking that it would be "mostly" equivalent to the original fan. To my surprise, the fan that arrived was an actual HP OEM fan identical to the old one with the HP label. Plugged it in and the PC is nearly silent once again. Great value! NOTE: The fan I received was shipped in a bag and so watch for damage due to shipping. One of the peg feet on my fan was slightly damaged in shipping but it's just cosmetic. Also, the gray foam strip that is supposed to sit upright had folded over during shipping and was laying flat on the fan. Make sure the strip is perpendicular to the metal fan plate so that it properly blocks the space behind the RAM connector to prevent the fan from sucking "hot air" from under the CPU/heatsink.

The fan works like the old one did. It isn't exactly quiet, but that's more so the fault of the design of the Elitedesks(at some point they made the fans go at 100% at all times). Still slightly quieter than the one I replaced, so I am glad enough to have it.What I would say is that they do a rather subpar job on packing. Just a plastic bag with a zipper seal. The first one I received had a broken plastic leg and I immediately opened the return request. The second made it here in perfect condition.Another thing to note is that it is very close to the original, which means that you can't lubricate the bearing still, which is really the only reason these things fail. Still going with a third party, they are affordable enough. HPs are nearly 6x the price, so this is an excellent alternative.

Fan fits fine, but didn't work. Then I noticed the wires were installed backwards by color in the connector. I removed the pins and re-assembled with the wires in the correct order and the fan now works.Not sure if this is a common issue or I got lucky. Computer is working again now and that's the important thing.Prodesk 600

Really, really disappointed. Bought this expecting it was a new fan. It is not. It is an old noisy fan to replace an old noisy fan. WTF….shame on me for not reading the reviews.
