Glass Demijohn with Screw Cap is intended for the fermentation of wines, beers, meads and for the storage of ready-made drinks. Characteristic:The glass from which the carboys are made has all approvals allowing for contact with food products containing alcohol. It is a thermally unhardened glass.Usage:Thermal shock is always caused by rapid temperature changes, which is very dangerous for the glass integrity. It is recommended to wash the glass in lukewarm water with the addition of sanitiser (or steriliser), e.g. potassium metabisulphite or no-rinse cleaner. OK quality bungs struggle to fit 100%
Required two 3 litre demijohns for wine making. The glass jars are OK quality but the bungs struggle to fit, alot of force is needed and found that one had popped free 2 weeks into fermentation so not brilliant.
