my wife got this as we have quite gothic decor in our living room looks nice and quality is good fits in with our style cheers

This has always been a should or shouldn't I purchase for me as I have thought about buying it for a long time. Some reviews are mixed but I took a chance anyway. It's great, a really nice piece. It looks spooky but elegant and it would look a treat no matter where you wanted to display it.One thing I will say is that it is very light and obviously hollow so I have put a bit of blu Tack on the pads to stabilise it and it now feels more secure. Overall I am very pleased with the Veiled Lady.

I saw the original of this statue when I visited the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge last year. I fell in love with it and even took a photo of it. I was looking for an ornament for the end of my sideboard and was astonished when the exact same bust popped up, a reproduction of course. I didn't find it on Amazon but on another company where it cost £11 more but now that I knew she existed as a repro I decided to check Amazon and am glad that I did.I was concerned about some of the reviews but as Amazon's return policy is so good I decided to risk buying her. There is one slight mark but it is in the folds of the veil behind her left ear and doesn't notice at all. Also it is slightly greyer than the original but what could I expect for £51, the original must be worth thousands.I have her next to a pure white container on my sideboard and as you can see the greyness is so slight that she doesn't look out of place against the white of the pot.Don't hesitate to buy her. Because she is timeless she is an excellent piece for any home.

She looks amazing! It's quite light and I feel could be easy to fall over as its quite top heavy, but she looks great, it looks genuinely authentic. Looks great in a cabinet or bookshelf. I love it.

I postponed buying this for a long time, for a simple reason that will quickly become apparent if you read many reviews of Toscano products (and which I've found to be true in my own experience: Namely, that they seem to be a firm with definite quality-control issues. When you buy a product, you may get a wonderful moulded reproduction that you'll treasure - or you may get one with visible air-bubbles or other blemishes that will leave you wondering how it was ever allowed to leave the factory, given the alleged 'hand-finishing' of the products.I can only say that in this instance, I was more than pleased with the one I received, so, five stars. Of my Toscano collection, I think 'The Dying Gaul' will always be my overall favourite - but this is a definite close second. It's always baffled me how the artist managed to achieve the illusion of a transparent veil on a statue. It still does, for me the illusion works perfectly.A beautiful reproduction.

Absolutely Beautiful

Good basic figure at a great price, it had a few nubs and air bubble holes from casting so being very fussy I felt I needed to finish it better in a few parts with a craft knife, filler and sandpaper...not a great problem for me. I am now quite happy with the bust and it looks great.

Cheap hollow piece of plastic,I guess you get what you pay for,highly disappointed
