Syntonics Edge Define Hair Smoother Gel 4 oz

I definitely like this product. It holds my hair, but it is not a constant all day hold, as you can see in the picture. One pic is taken immediately after applying the product and the second pic is of the same area an hour later. The good thing is that it does not flake or turn white and I do appreciate that. I’ve used this for years and it does help my edges to stay moisturized.Update: after washing & styling my hair today 8/6/202, I decided to use this edge define again. I must admit, it’s really excellent! Although I am relaxed, my edges grow out quickly and I typically have to rely on some type of edge tamer. Other edge tamers have become white, which I thoroughly dislike. This product have not become white, nor has it flaked. Therefore, I am updating this reviewing and giving it 5 stars.

I liked how this worked on my hair when my stylist used it but I didn’t know what it was. Luckily she didn’t mind telling me what she used. I ordered it and it was delivered same day. It is the best edge tamer I have found. And, I’ve used a lot of them. This one, I had never heard of.

This edge control is awesome!! It does the job perfectly. I have used other edge control and this lays down my hair all day without it frizzing up! great product!!

Pretty good product! I've been using this product for the past few years. It definitely helps to control flyaway and/or unruly edges. The only drawback is that if you use too much this product it makes your hair greasy. I'd suggest only using a little bit.

I have natural hair and I am in love with this product. One small application in the morning and my edges are down for the day. Very lightweight, doesn't have a greasy feel, and has a nice cooling sensation when applied. Best of all, this product doesn't leave that nasty white residue that so many edge controls cause. Hair doesn't become hard or stiff. This product is impossible to find in stores. So I recommend buying it when you can find it!

After reading all of the reviews for this product, I was excited about trying it out. I am an African American female who is transitioning. I have tried many different gels/edge smoothers and I'm still in search of one that will give me hold all day without making my edges hard. I received my product and couldn't wait to try it. I put it on my edges and was impressed with how straight my edges looked. The peppermint scent was very pleasant. The product did not feel greasy or sticky. My edges looked good and I was very happy. I live in a humid climate so this would be the real test. After several hours, my edges reverted back to their frizzy state and the edge tamer looked oily on the side of my face. I thought I'd found the "One" but I guess I was wrong. I have never paid this much for an edge tamer before and I don't think I ever will again. I will stick with my cheaper gels which do the same thing. Organic Stimulator Edge Control or Jam Gel, much cheaper.

I use this product on my daughter's hair and it is the only one that has worked with keeping her edges down. It does have a minty smell which I wasn't expecting. A little goes a long way so hopefully it will last for awhile. I would recommend this product.

This stuff is amazing. A very little bit goes a long way. I used it on my daugher's heat straightened hair and it laid it down without being greasy or sticky. Also, if you use a scarf at night, there is no need to reapply it day after day. The hold is just that good. I recommend this to everyone, especially the transitioning ladies. It even holds down natural hair!
