Stylish rapid boiling kettle.
Stylish looks with smoked glass. Interior lit with white LED lights which illuminate whilst water boiling. Blue LEDs would looked classier and more appealing. Water boils very rapidly but minimum quantity is rather a lot. Overall capacity is excessive. The lid is fiddly to align and install. Whilst removing the lid using the ring, need to be careful otherwise feel ring may snap off. Pour is slow and has to be precise to avoid spilling. Also condensation tends to collect towards the top and unless the lid is kept off does not disappear. But overall a great product and surprising that Morphy Richards not know for their avant- garde style have come up with very stylish and innovate products in their Redefine line. This is the second one I have bought although I already have another which I bought over a year ago and is working fine. I think Morphy Richards have stopped making it and now available at half price which is a bargain. I bought this extra one as they won’t be available any more. Made in China though but then isn’t nearly everything?

A very useful electric kettle.
It's used all the time now. It's powerful and it boils water quickly. The only downside is it's too heavy. Because its pot is made of glass.

Looks nice but not very practical
Looks nice but not very practical. The spout is not very good - water goes everywhere. Limescale builds up very quickly (probably due to living in hard water area) and makes kettle look very unattractive so needs descaling regularly. On the plus side boils very quickly.

Stylish, elegant, excellent.
Fantastic kettle. We searched just about every kettle for sale on the internet to find one which was modern and stylish, and agreed that this was the best looking, apart from the Bugatti, which is more than twice the price. In performance, it is great too. It lights up with bright white LEDs when it is boiling, which gives a fantastic effect as you watch the water boil. Very quick to boil too. Those who say the lid is fiddly, or that it doesn't pour well must have some kind of problem! The lid has an arrow on it to tell you which way it goes on, so it always goes on right first time, unless you are looking in the other direction! Similarly, the pour is smooth. I'm not sure what people are doing who say the water goes all over the place. Maybe they don't know how to pour water from a kettle? Very strange! Someone said that you have to tip it a long way to pour the water out. That's because it is conical in shape. You will have to tip it further than one with straight sides, but so what?I've only had it a few weeks, so I can't say how long it will last, but to the people who say that it scales up, buy yourself a water softener! You'll save a fortune on heating bills (from the boiler and pipes and central heating no longer furring up), you'll have much nicer showers and baths, and your shower head, taps and sinks won't get all scaled-up! Then you will also be able to enjoy owning this kettle like the rest of us. I highly recommend this kettle.

Problematic
I bought this kettle in December 2016. It lasted just under a year then started to switch itself off before boiling. I contacted Morphy Richards and they said it could be limescale but there was none in the kettle. They replaced I with a new one but where my first had blue light the new one had white. The replacement very quickly went the same way as the first and I rang Morphy Richards again. A second replacement was sent and I was told by customer services that it was only covered by warranty until the date the first kettle’s warranty ran out. Obviously Morphy Richards don’t have enough faith in their own product to guarantee it’ll last. This replacement still works today (27th March) 3 months since the warranty ‘ran out’ but has lost two screws from the base while being carried?!? Not safe to use but out of warranty. I’ll be buying a far cheaper alternative to replace it and expect it’ll probably be more worth the money. A shame though because it’s a nice design especially the original with blue lights, just let down by poor quality and workmanship.

Looks fantastic with the light all around it too
Boils in 65 seconds when the kettle if is full, small amount of water and it's 45/50 seconds. What more can you ask. Looks fantastic with the light all around it too, kettle itself is light to handle.Down side? To take the lid off can be tricky, has to be placed back on a certain way, more fidigity than anything. I'm getting used to it now but did take a few days. Overall, very satisfied indeed.

I Really Like It
The kettle has been in use for a month and although it's pretty expensive, I am very happy with the results so far. The design is appealing and the water boils quickly and relatively quietly.
