Does this version improve a bit over the Gamecube version any?

There have been some changes (for better or for worse is up to the player’s discretion). These are updates that I have noticed, and I’m through year 2. I’m not sure what all official updates are. But the GameCube game was divided into 2 originally (a wonderful life where you play a boy and another wonderful life where you play a girl). This game combines those where you can play a boy or a girl and you can customize their appearance. You can also be a non-binary character. You can also marry any marriage candidate regardless of your gender (so same sex marriage is allowed). You can sell the goat (which you couldn’t before as you were stuck with it). You also don’t have to buy a separate milker for it. The pickup time of items (the rate at which you pick up items off the ground) is faster. And you can pick up multiple of the same kind of items in a row. Previously you had to pick up items and put them in your bag one by one. And the pickup time just took a bit. So they shortened it which is nice. Your tools are kept in your inventory (not in a shed). You can buy the seed maker rather than having to befriend someone. Also, there is the bulletin board instead of having to worry about befriending everyone to see all cutscenes you want to. But a lot of cutscenes you will still need to befriend folks. You can have a boy or girl child - it’s not just limited to one gender. Overall, the game seems brighter. I remember the GameCube game being rather dark and this one is much lighter and brighter which I appreciate. Also, the graphics are better than the GameCube which is great! There are some name changes to a few characters (Muffy became Molly). There is still a glitch If you make Molly to 9 hearts that you don’t see the rest of the cutscenes for other marriage candidates. I think hybrid crops are new (where you can make new types of crops by mixing tier one hybrids) and you can give them names. Hope this helps! I don’t think it’s everything but it will at least give you an idea of what has been updated.
