Make sure your dry your mouth before application!
As long as you have acceptable expectations, and use this product properly, then it should work wonders if you're suffering from the pain of a large ulcer. I'd expect that the biggest problems that people have are improper application. I have a few comments about this product: - You need to dry your mouth around and at the ulcer. The reason for this is that the very thick paste reacts with saliva, and if you were to skip on this step, then it would harden on your finger and not stick to the lining of your mouth or wherever the ulcer is. It may seem a hassle and you may think that it may cause unnecessary pain, but it IS DEFINITELY necessary. - The hardening isn't so much of a very hard solid, but more like a solidification. When reacted with your saliva, it feels a bit like gelatin. While it will protect the ulcer from food particles etc... The more abrasion and forces applied to it, it will last not as long. Playing with it with your tongue for example may wear it down but also may cause it to slide somewhere else in your mouth. It should last a full night, but only if you don't 'play' with it. - If being applied deep in the mouth, then it will be really hard not to get the paste inside the nails, and takes a lot of effort to clear too. - You need to apply the paste on and around the ulcer. However, the paste is quite thick, and so you'll need to apply some force on the ulcer, which could cause a little pain and a little bleeding. Overall, this does indeed physically protect your ulcers more than products such as bonjela do, and so I believe is superior, although the application is much harder. I definitely recommend this. It's the type of product where you can feel it protecting you. I do believe that this helps the speed of the ulcer healing. I've been busy and haven't been getting enough sleep, but this healed in around 3 days after applying it on a large ulcer. Ulcers normally appear when your health is compromised. On their website, they state that it isn't an infection but rather a lack of healing. Why do you only sometimes get ulcers when you accidentally bite your mouth lining? Your health is the reason. If you get sufficient sleep every day, then you can dramatically increase your chance of the injury healing without forming an ulcer. This also means that without medication, less sleep will mean much slower healing. Hope this was useful.

One of the best treatments for mouth ulcers
Excellent, the best thing I have found for mouth ulcers and doesn't taste awful. Works well and easy to use

I like it better then Bonjela
Pros: - Works as stated on the box. - I like it better then Bonjela as that one slips around and this one sticks. - It is effective as it covers the ulcer to stop any extra trauma to allow it to heal. Ulcers generally heals within 2 weeks so this speeds it up. Cons: - It's very sticky, you need saliva to almost activate it in place it does get stuck on your teeth or your tongue and lips initially when applying.

Lifesaver
I get ulcers whenever my immune system is down, or that my body feels tired and stressed out. Every time when I get an ulcer, it will last for at least a week until it starts to go away. I decided to get this because another one popped out two days ago. As soon as it popped out, I went online and bought a few different ones to see which one works the best. Two of them came yesterday. This one because it's quite thick and sticky, I find it very difficult to use during the day, because it stays there for a while, and I need to use my mouth to speak and drink. And even when I'm not speaking, it's impossible to keep your mouth completely still. I decided to use another one which is aloe based and not as thick during the day to help sooth it. Then at night before going to bed, I applied this one onto my ulcer and went to bed. This morning I woke up not feeling any pain on my ulcer, and it's healed a lot, while normally I would have been waking up feeling the pain as soon as I move my mouth, and that the ulcer would have been bigger. Although it's not completely gone yet, I'm really happy with how much it's helped already!

The best soothing relief for mouth ulcers
Its ridiculous how such a tiny mouth ulcer can cause so much pain and discomfort but I was in tears and couldn't eat or drink for days. I think I tried everything for pain relief and I can honestly say that this Iglu was one of the best things on the market. Ok it doesn't give you that immediate tingly, eye-watering sharp sensation that others do but I find they wear off and you only end up pouring half the tube down your neck. I've also had others that are like a dry paste which just completely sticks your mouth together which is alright if it's in your back gums but it doesn't help if your ulcer is on your front gums or tongue - which mine were. So, I was sooooo relieved when I put this on my ulcers..... it coats them and stays on them which cuts out any contact so you feel no more pain!! Simples! Its not too dry a paste so you can still talk and sip with a straw to bypass the area where you've applied it. My life was restored to normality. Thank you Iglu!

Good pain relief BUT very difficult to apply
Mixed feelings on the product. It really helps with reducing ulcer pain A LOT. My mouth ulcer was awful and this product did provide a lot of relief. However it's so difficult to apply that these benefits are difficult to bring about. The paste is very thick and not at all gel like. Applying it is very difficult as it sticks to my fingers and doesn't apply easy onto the ulcer itself so the process can be painful. The paste also accumulated on my teeth and gums, which was uncomfortable. Good pain relief but it would be better if the product was a bit easier to apply.

Best treatment for Ulcers
Best treatment for mouth ulcers. Had one on the inside of my lower lip that was causing me lots of pain and making talking/eating difficult.. This worked straight away in easing the pain. Can be quite difficult to apply. I found using only a tiny amount and building up with a Qtip as it dried the easiest way. Don't think it has too much of an unpleasant taste or texture and forms a barrier over the ulcer that stops it from rubbing and getting more sore. Lasts much longer than bonjela and without the awful "instant" sting. My ulcer was much better from the off and practically gone by the following morning.

Amazing stuff!
I’m on day 5 of aphthous (canker) sores on the roof of my mouth after over-indulging in prawn crackers from my local Chinese takeaway! They’ve been so painful, I can’t chew anything and have had to whizz all my food in the NutriBullet. I tried Gengigel - no effect whatsoever - then Bonjela - excrutiatinly painful when you put it on, it feels like it’s burning a hole in the sorest part of the ulcer! - then in desperation ordered som Iglü. It can be a bit tricky to put on, the paste quickly becomes kind of dry and crumbly and you do have to try not to get it on your teeth! But it works a treat. I can still feel my ulcers aching a bit under the gel but it means I can eat a lot more easily as the ulcers feel protected. I preferred a thick layer over the biggest ulcer and that lasted for a couple of hours. Amazing stuff.
