I always use Artist Quality oil paint for my work and this includes a proper artist quality white paint. I discovered this quick drying Alkyd paint a few years ago and only use it instead of my normal white, when there is a need to speed up the drying time.For example, if I require to have a painting touch dry within a few days for an exhibition or delivery to a client. By using this fast drying white paint with my normal oil colours I can shorten the drying time considerably.Another useful application is to use it for under painting which will dry overnight allowing you to paint on top within 24 hours.

The texture of the oil paint is creamy and not to too thick. I took some out on to a brush from the brand new tube and applied on to the canvas and the paint so easily spread without the need for the knife to smoothen it. It's that soft. Perhaps ideal for wet on wet. Some other products are very thick, you need to apply a medium or a paint thinner and use the knife to make the paint kind of pliable, but this tube of paint is already soft and ready to use. Beautiful bright dark yellow.

I found this paint had a really sticky, tar-like texture to it? It was unlike any other Winsor Newton oil paints I've ever used. Really difficult to paint with. Not sure if I just had a bad tube but I'm an experienced oil painter.

I love Griffin Alkyd colors. They dray fast and they are awesome quality. I get lots accomplished. The product arrived in great condition and on time. Don't have any complaints.

I use it for its fast drying aspects. Especially good if you're traveling on a painting trip. For those who like to come back to a painting overnight and rework it wet, this may not be the best choice.
