Worked perfect for my application. 1/4" requires a17/64 bit for a tight secure fit. Will require a tap to install. I used one of the hangers as an insulation guide.

Pleasantly surprised. The fit is perfect for 1/4” drilled holes for 1/4” shelf pins.My old shelves had worn 1/4” holes which were allowing pins to move around. Shelves were also unfortunately cut a bit too short. These sleeves fixed the loose fits.These sleeves drive in with a few taps of a hammer, and 1/4” pins(6.35mm) drive into them.The result was a very secure pin!Yes, I would buy again!

These will not fit either 1/4" pins which will not insert, or 5mm pins which are too loose. The ID is 0.268".

Just what I needed to fix my kitchen cabinet shelves.

I read a lot of the reviews that made it sound like these don't work with shelf pins. I ordered the POWERTEC QP1404V 1/4 Inch Shelf Pegs 50pk, L-Shaped Bracket and they worked great. Fit is perfect. If you drill a 1/4 hole these sleeves need to be hammered in to get them tight and they have no play in them.Overall, if you get the right shelf pins and use the right drill bit, these work exactly as intended and make cabinets look much nicer and finished.

These sleeves are especially nice when you have already purchased the wrong pins. I bought the 6mm and should have bought the 7mm pins, much cheaper to buy these after that mistake. HOWEVER! The low quality ZUIWAN pins do not all fit into these sleeves (ends are "squished") . The POWERTEC 6mm pins have proven to be a higher quality and all fit smoothly 👌

To get a snug fit for the sleeves, I had to had to use a 17/64 drill bit. That said, I am still struggling to find a dowel pin that will fit appropriately. The 1/4 dowel is too large, and a 3/16 is entirely too small. The product itself is fine. But the run around for compatible parts is proving to be a pain.
