It does not contain basil
This product tastes terrible. It does not taste like it contains basil as I have grown the plant and made pesto. In fact, the list of ingredients states that it is mostly spinach with natural basil "flavor".

Not very good tasting at all
I bought this under the impression this regular pesto sauce made with garlic, pine nuts, olive oil, and basil but it is made with ingredients that give it a funny taste.

Love Pesto | But this wasn't good
I usually make my own pesto with olive oil, fresh basil, parmesan, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and walnuts. I sometimes add swiss chard, spinach, or kale to it as well. My homemade pesto is loved by my whole family, but I was interested in trying this pesto that was stated to be a product of Italy. When I opened the jar, it smelled good and I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately, all it tasted like was robust olive oil, basil, a strange flavor that left a bad aftertaste, and salt – WAY to much salt. I know high sodium content is pretty common for premade products, but I had hoped for more. As is, my family and I found it gross, and no one wanted the leftovers.

Amazing products- real Pesto
This is what real Italian Pesto tastes like in Italy. Now washed out taste. You need very little for a big impact when cooking.
